  1. I have specific spots that I target, but drift the rest of the time. So, it's mostly dragging my bait.
  2. Well, Guilty As Charged. 95% of my "collection" has never been fished.
  3. Cute in a picture, but I don't want to be any closer.
  4. Hmm... I would have to disagree. The blister packs set Rage Tail apart from other soft plastics. Every bait is in perfect shape. I have found minor color variations to have no impact on the bait performance.
  5. My wife uses this type of rack for shirts and slacks. It eliminates most wrinkles.
  6. If I can't reach it, I cut it off. My brother learned that lesson and I took notice,
  7. I like both pretty much equally. To be specific, power fishing = baitcasting gear, finesse = spinning gear. I am mostly a finesse fisherman, so spinning equipment comes into play probably 80% of the time. Interestingly, I have more baitcasting rigs than spinning because of my strong preference for technique specific rods. One rig for jerkbaits, one for the A-Rig, two for topwater, three for crankbaits and four for weighted soft plastics and jigs. I try to rotate around so my stuff doesn't get upset with me, but I only carry one rig for pond fishing and usually four on the boat.

  9. Nice, very nice...
  10. Crawdads need to be keep in clean water at least overnight to "purge" themselves.
  11. Ridiculous...I would NEVER use my rod as a spear!

  13. Pickwick on holiday weekends. You can still fish early, the Wild Things have been up partying all night and don't crawl out until 10:00 or 11:00.
  14. Favorite response: Commentator: John, I thought you quit drinking? John: Wine and beer don't count.
  15. I have fished CXX, but it has a ton of memory. Try #6 which is about 8# breaking strength. Give #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid a try, too. I like Seaguar Tatsu #6, but if you want to try fluorocarbon at a lower cost, Seaguar InvizX .
  16. No, you need to fish them to see if they work. If they turn out to be "The Next Big Thing", go buy some more.
  17. Don't buy them if you are not going to fish them.
  18. Things generally pick up around the middle of the month, 10/15.
  19. I would much rather catch a 10 lb bass!
  20. Looks a lot like Pickwick below the dam.
