  2. I fish Tatsu #4 & #6 and Yo-Zuri #4. I get more bites on #4, but have a lot more confidence in #6.
  3. October 15 is the magic date around here, especially on the Tennessee River. When the water cools the smallmouth put on the feed bag and it can be lights out! Of course the exact date varies, but that's a target for river rats.
  4. Fast track? Find a professional guide that understands that you are new and anxious to learn. The right guide can teach you more in one day than you can learn in a year on your own.

    Welcome aboard!
  6. In the Mid South we have unlimited options that all have the potential for a great day of fishing. I fish several Tennessee River reservoirs, but mostly Pickwick because it's close and I keep my boat on the lake.
  7. Yeah, and growing corn and alfalfa in the desert makes no sense either.
  8. Not more sensitive, but for a lot of guys more "user friendly".
  9. "Reduces backlash" does not eliminate them all.
  10. KVD sponsorship made the deal, not the reel itself.
  11. White River below Bull Shoals Dam. The park is on the river. https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/parks/bull-shoals-white-river-state-park You can catch trout from the bank or wading. If you want to catch bass, you will need a boat for the lake. My best advice to hire my guide, Tim "hotdawg" Curtis. https://www.hotdawgguideservice.com/
  12. Another "looks like 8 lbs to me".
  13. That should be easy for you!
  14. I am all about stripers! For more than a decade that was my main target below Pickwick Dam. My PB is 48 lbs.
  15. https://www.visitknoxville.com/event/2023-bassmaster-classic/19099/ Book 'em, Danno! Let me know if you can fish a day or two before or after the event.
  16. I want to go to Knoxville and taste some white bass tacos!
  17. Geez... Ice fishing? It's August in the Mid South. We don't have enough ice in January to camp on a pond, let alone a lake. I'm not planning a trip to Minnesota this winter either.
  18. Looks great!
  19. Makes for a funny video, but I don't think anybody is that stupid.
  20. I buy a lot of stuff and never fish it. My best (worst) example is my Vision 110 collection. I fish about three different patterns out of at least 30. I shouldn't admit to that, but I won't count those that are still in their original box.
