  1. Well, we will see what some of the Jersey Guys have to say, but generally these lures/ baits are effective in the fall: Jerkbaits, soft swimbaits, traditional jigs and swim jigs, flukes, single tail grubs, soft plastics on a split shot rig and shakey head.
  2. The Denver Broncos just pulled into the fast lane! Great game and magical comeback last night. Monday Night Football rocks! :respect-059:
  3. Hunting gloves when you motor, cotton gloves when you fish. I don't usually wear gloves fishing, but I always have them available.
  4. Never heard of the brand, but the cost of a small experiment can't hurt too much. I guess I'm a little set in my ways. I only fish a couple of brands of soft plastics and the vast majority are Rage Tail.
  5. Seattle beats New England! Now way, Jose! The next thing you know the Aint's will win again!
  6. Smallmouth fishing on the Tennessee River is just getting started...WOO-HOO!
  7. I don't know specifically how Yo-Zuri compares to the stretch in other lines. I really don't notice any, but that may be silly. The main point I would make is that guys need to try a few lines to find a few they like. The Hybrid is cheap, so if you don't like it you are not out much. These are two other lines you might try: P-Line CXX and Izorline XXX Super Co-Polymer.
  8. Stand-up guy and GREAT products! :respect-040:
  9. Wow! Now it won't be hard to find. -Kent
  10. Yo-Zuri Hybrid #4 (8.5 lb breaking strength) or #6 (11.9 lb breaking strength)
  11. If you are fishiing parallel to the bank, walk past the snag anfd pull from the opposite direction.
  12. For the past two years I have been experimenting with a number of fluorocarbons. The biggest issue is manageability. If cost is not important, Tatsu gets my vote. Otherwise, I think Yo-Zuri Hybrid is the better choice.
  13. I have been VERY impressed with the LEC70MHF http://www.stcroixrods.com/product/freshwater-legend-elite#
  14. In the top section of "General" we have a number of sub-sections. This particular thread is pinned with others under "Best Of BassResource". There are two other "begginner" topics associated with this one.
  15. I fish holes the same as ledges. On the Tennessee River last summer we found two close to each other and relatively small. The holes dropped several feet into a 14' floor. All our fish were caught on the upstream edge just as out bait dropped.
  16. Float-n-Fly Triton Mike wrote this for us a few years ago: http://www.bassresou...loat-n-fly.html
  17. Generally, a manmade body of water in a rural setting. They are private and require permission to fish. When acquired for housing development or community parks these ponds may allow public access, but restrictions often apply.

  19. You might find fishing deep structure to be the MOST rewarding technique you will ever experience.
  20. Okay, this is NOT about tournament fishing, fun fishing only. On another thread a member wrote that he would rather catch little fish than none at all. I'm wondering what you think about that statement? My take is to always target bigger fish, I don't mind being skunked. As a matter-of-fact, if I never catch another fish under 3 lbs, that is fine with me.
  21. 1 oz Mata Jig or Big O from Siebert Outdoors/ Rage Tail Lobster. I haven't fished the NorthStar Black Series yet, but it looks GREAT to me!
