Well, recommending a mixture without testing it seems silly. Stick with JJ's Magic and separately, MegaStrike. Both are proven winners!

Well, I love the Core, but I have the Curado 50E on my BCS 893C and it makes for a BE-U-TIFUL combination! Rather than the more expensive Core 50MG, get the Curado and service or have DVT service the reel. I had mine supertuned last spring (ceramic bearings and Carbontex drag).

Well, here's my take: I like the hooks quite a bit, but I really don't find them superior to the other brands I fish. These include Gamakatsu, Owner, Katsuage, Mustad and VMC.

Well, my initial reaction is "colors make us feel good". Perhaps color is important in clear shallow water, but it seems like black & blue might be the ticket deep and in stained water. I hope Big O responds on this thread, he has an artist's eye for color combinations.

Target anything that breaks the water flow. Lures and baits are not nearly as important as location.
