I just don't get it... Peyton is probably the most popular football player that has ever lived in Indiana. I think it is likely that his second career will be as head coach and possibly, Govenor of Indiana if he can stand politics! So, if Manning is going to be this big star in Denver that everyone is talking about, why would the Colts give up on him? Lots of mystery surrounding this entire story.

Although I REALLY HATE braid, it has SIGNIFICANTLY improved my jig fishing. I have two rigs spooled with Sufix 832, my jig rig and one for weighted soft plastics. Regarding cheap rods...You will find upgrades to be noticably different.

"i before e except after c" should be extended to include "except when said 'ay' as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh'". The middle finger is in located approximately in the middle if your hand and aligns with the middle of your arm.

Wow! I'm surprised and impressed. I thought the CI4 was the ticket, so I have learned something new this morning. Regarding baitcasters...I prefer the Curado 50 frame, but since you are buying several, compare this to the 200 and see which one you prefer. The CTE200GT is more than you want to spend but there is a DC offered in the Flea Market right now for $240. To start with, I would recommend a "gently used" Citica for $65-$75. These pop up in our Flea Market frequently.

C'mon guys, the OP is asking for advice on a $150 rod & reel. Let's stick with that.

You'll have to experiment a little. Right now I think your best bet shallow is probably frogs, Rage Toads or Rage Shad early. I'm still having good luck with the LC RC 3.5 in this heat. Later, Thumper, GMAN Jig or NorthStar/ Rage Craw & Lobster. Don't forget the JJ'sMagic, it REALLY helps when things are a bit slow.

Your point is well stated, these reels have nothing in common except the brand name. BTW, I bought the Ford Granada when it was first introduced in 1975. This was (arguably) the worst car ever produced. I have never bought a Ford since nor will I ever buy one again.

Yes, you can fish any line, but the old rod guides will grove if you spool up with braid.

Denver's D ranked 24th in overall defense. Tebow was by far the most exciting player in the NFL last year. His dramatic come-from-behind wins electrified the entire country, Bronco fan or not. I hope Tim does well in New York and that Manning is a bust in Denver.

I think the Shell Cracker and Menace are now available to the public. I received some samples while they were being developed. The Shell Cracker has action similar to the Rage Shad with a different profile. I think it will be KILLER, too!
