  1. Woo-Hoo! How 'bout 4" and still pouring? WOO-HOO!
  2. I'm not familiar with the specific rod, but the IMX series is where G.Loomis begins to stand out.
  3. In order for the guys to reply, you need to give us a pricing point. For length, I recommend 6 1/2' - 7'.
  4. Spinning gear: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6 (11.9 lb breaking strength) Baitcasting: Hybrid #12 (19.5 lb breaking strength)
  5. Rage Lizard, 3 1/2" Gitzit (Baby Diaper Yellow) and Rage Baby Craw.
  6. Man, that's quite a fish! Who is that dude holding it? Lookin' good buddy...keep it up.

  8. How hot is this? http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/megabass-new-lures.html
  9. Thiis rod fits the "all-around" category just fine, but technically it's more specifically designed for medium weight single hooks: jigs, spinnerbaits, small swimbaits and soft plastics.
  10. Addressing the OP: The answer might be Pickwick Lake in the spring. Late winter and early spring 2012 has produced more 10+ than in the entire history of the reservoir. You should consider attending the RoadTrip 2013. Although there is no chance of catching a new World Record largemouth, there is a remote possibility of hooking up with the next World Record smallmouth! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html
  11. Mr. Mallard is a good fisherman and a fine young man. We had lots of fun and we both caught a few fish. I look forward to fishing with him again as well as our other Memphis area friends. Good luck and THANK YOU!
  12. My partner, Mr. Mallard, was killin' 'em on a weightless wacky rig yesterday. We were about 10' of water and most of the strikes occurred on the initial fall. He had a little issue with hook-ups, but I think his hook was defective.
  13. I like them, too!
  14. Try a variety of worms and you will find the ones you like. Bite It, Rage Tail and GYCB are places to start. Three colors that usually work anywhere are green pumpkin, watermelon with black flakes and black & blue.
  15. If you fish from the bank you are going to lose lures, it's just part of the drill. If you fish from a boat buy a plug knocker and you will be able to recover 90% or better.
  16. The general response is gizzard shad, but in the water below Pickwick the stripes are very picky. When gizzards are all that are easy prey, they work fine. But in late June to early July the threadfin congregate at the dam and the stripes won't touch a gizzard. Later this month the choice switches to skipjack and virtually nothing else! My artificial alternative is both topwater and the Alabama Rig. Super Spook is fine for topwater. For The Rig, I'm using LFT Live Magic Shad weightless on the outside, Johnson Silver Minnow in the middle.
  17. I don't know about the G, I have heard mixed reviews. However, the E series I can strongly recommend. I have both the 50 and 100 which I have had supertuned by our sponsor, DVT. This did not turn them into Core, but pretty darn close!
  18. I agree with 00mod, the CI4 is the best bang for the buck. However, the Stella 2500FE might be a candidate for "heirloom" status. With a little effort you might find one NIB or gently used for around $400.
  19. I love threads like this. :respect-059: Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. That's all I'm going to say.
  20. If you can't find live bait, we have been killin' 'em on The Rig.
  21. Use a rod you have or save your money for something you want. Your first baitcasting reel should be a "gently used" Citicia (~$75) or Curado ($115-$125).

  23. You left off, or I don't see, your Mop Jigs.
  24. Man, those girls have some big eyes!
