  1. I put my new Coastal on my OG Tatula 7’ m/r and tied on a 1/2 oz lipless crankbait. Went out to the backyard and I’m very impressed with the casting distance I’m getting one handed with very little effort.
  2. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't like the matte black finish.
  3. I'd say the Tatula 7' M/R is between moderate fast and fast. I have one and use it for lipless and shallow crankbaits. The Tatula M is more comparable to a Dobyns MH. I have no experience with the Sierra's but I do have a Fury 705cb and I like the Tatula a whole lot more.
  4. Got my Coastal in the mail today from Sportman’s Outfitters. This thing is very nice. Same size as the Tatula 100 but feels a lot nicer. I love the long handle. Can’t wait to try it out this weekend.
  5. I agree. Best rod you can get in that price range.
  6. I have the non glass one. I use it for shallow and lipless crankbaits and highly recommend it. Daiwa’s Regular is between moderate and fast.
  7. SPRO Little John in Cellmate color
  8. Not as good as battered and deep fried.
  9. I’ve ordered multiple rods from Bass Pro over the years and never received a damaged one.
  10. Thanks for posting this. Just ordered a Coastal SV. I've been wanting one since they first came out and hard to pass up on that deal.
  11. The 703 has a fast action. 705cb has a moderate/fast action more suitable for crankbaits.
  12. I have a Loomis E6X and a Dobyns Fury that I regret buying, but that's the chance that you take when you order a rod without getting to handle it first before buying.
  13. The Tatula has a better ,more sensitive blank than the Xt. You should be able to find the Tatula for 125 or less if you shop around.
  14. What brand Fluorocarbon did you use? Not all lines are the same. Some Fluorocarbon lines are stiff and don't handle well and others are supple and easier to manage. I use 7lb Sniper on my spinning reel and 15lb P-line Tactical on my baitcasters and have no problems. Some people put line conditioner on Fluorocarbon to help also.
  15. Did you use the recipe I sent you?
  16. I sent you a message with the link to the recipe I used. I’m not crazy about lamb and this was my first time cooking it. I cooked it for my girlfriend and she loved it.
  17. I did baby back ribs and rack of Lamb for Easter Sunday.
  18. I agree. I fish a small farm pond probably just a little bigger than 1 acre, and I've caught several bass between 5 and 8 pounds over the years. Also have a buddy that works grounds at a golf course and plenty of pigs have been caught out of the small ponds on it.
  19. I use McCoy Copoly on my moving bait setups and really like it. Low stretch, strong and very low memory. Best casting line I've ever used. As far as Fluorocarbon line, I use it on my bottom contact reels and after trying a bunch of them I settled with P-line Tactical. Fairly limp, yet strong and casts like mono.
  20. I have a couple SV's and a 100. To me the Sv feels better made and more like a quality reel compared to the 100, but then again I haven't had any problems with the 100. I see no difference in casting distance between the 2.
  21. Still getting up every morning and going to work. Nothing has changed for me
  22. That's why I only use braid for frogs. Tried it on my texas rig setup last year. Got hung up fishing in some flooded timber, couldn't get my boat very close to it and had to cut 1/4 spool of line off.
  23. I agree, I catch more bass on lipless cranks than anything else. I never set the hook, just start reeling harder.
