  1. That's a great deal. They also have the Steez Sv on sale for 319.99
  2. The correct way to set a SV up is the same as the other Tatulas. Loosen the spool until you get a tiny bit of play.
  3. The Kistler’s tip is more closer to fast than XF. I love mine for pitching jigs.
  4. The Arkie style head is the most versatile jig.
  5. My most productive bait since the start of summer has been a PB&J jig with a Green Pumpkin Rage craw. I'll have to try the pb&j craw with that jig.
  6. Thanks. I fish from a 10 foot Pond Prowler that I haul on an utility trailer so I'm sure the ramp is fine for me. I'll have to give Wilcox a try one evening after work.
  7. Nice report. I live less than 4 miles from Wilcox but have never fished it before. Does it have a boat ramp?
  8. I use 12 lb McCoy’s Xtra clear Copoly
  9. I’ve had nothing but good experiences from Sportsman’s Outfitters, plus you can’t beat there sale prices.
  10. Music playing while fishing would be a huge distraction for me. It irritates me when I can hear it from the pontoon and pleasure boats from a distance.
  11. I use 50 lb Seaguar Smackdown for frogs. It’s limp, quiet, and holds its color well.
  12. I use green Big Game for backing. When I can see the green underneath the Fluorocarbon on the spool after making a long cast I will respool.
  13. Dicks has the 7 ' 4 frog rod on sale for a really good price. Bad thing is, another poster has a thread about recieving one broken from bad packaging.
  14. I have yet to find a craw that works as well as the Rage Tail.
  15. I own rods made by G Loomis, Daiwa,Powell, St Croix, Kistler and Dobyns. I'd say the Kistler is my favorite and the Dobyns is my least.
  16. I've never tied a leader on, but I only use braid for frogs.
  17. My vote is for the Kistler
  18. Yes. You can use screws as long as they’re above the water line and put a little marine silicone around the screw head. I’ve screwed down my casting deck, fish finder,Scotty transducer arm, cell phone mount and a couple other things with no problems
  19. Yes. The Live Target frog is my favorite and I've had good luck with it.
  20. As long as I'm moving , even with the trolling motor on low I get a decent image.
  21. We just had the hottest July on record in my area so I’m more than ready for fall. October is my favorite month to fish.
  22. My Lowrance Elite 7ti will get fuzzy if I've been sitting still for a couple minutes, especially in shallow water. What you're seeing is normal.
