  1. I absolutely hate fishing a Senko. I’ve caught fish with them and even a couple big bass but I find fishing them to be boring and I just don’t have the patience for it.
  2. I have a first generation E6X. It’s an decent rod but nothing special. Not worth $200 to me but I hear the new ones are better.
  3. My next reel in that price range will be the Daiwa Coastal SV
  4. Actually, don’t some of the Daiwa Tatula Elite rods have Pro anglers names on them?
  5. The Spro Fat John goes through brush quite well without hanging up. I’ve lost a ton of crankbaits in lay downs but this Spro squareblll comes out most of the time. I caught a 5 pounder with one in a nasty lay down earlier this summer.
  6. When water temps are in the 50s Lipless crankbait Spro Little John Jig and Craw Jerkbait
  7. I have a Dobyns Fury and a Powell Endurance. I prefer the Powell.
  8. I would pick the 6.2 since you say you mostly use spinnerbaits. I use 6.3 for all moving baits and I prefer to use a 7.1 for bottom contact baits only.
  9. I couldn’t imagine fishing in the fall without a lipless crankbait tied on.
  10. I had the exact same problem with a Garmin unit I once had. Turned out to be a bad power wire. It sounds like you have a bad connection or either the wire needs to be replaced.
  11. I can't imagine not catching fish on crankbaits. I always have 3 crankbait combos locked and loaded on the deck.
  12. Yeah, they probably were just sunfish. I wanted to buy 1/15 but 1/10 was the lightest my local tackle shop had. Definitely going to order some 1/16 to try. I'm using 7lb Sniper.
  13. I haven't caught anything using the Ned rig yet. I've gotten several bites but haven't been able to hook one yet. A lot of reviews on the TW site say the weed guards are a problem so I assumed this was my problem. I did manage to break 2 hooks pulling snags loose. I looked at the Owners but didn't see many reviews for them. I think I'll give them a try. Thanks
  14. I've tried the Ned rig for the first time the past 2 times out fishing. The only heads I could find local were the Zman Weedless Shroomz and I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of them. First off the weedgaurd is too stiff for a good hookup and second thing is these hooks break way too easy. Who makes a decent Ned rig jig head?
  15. The James River has Smallmouth. I’ve never fished the river so hopefully someone who has will chime in and tell you the best spots on it.
  16. You will see very little increase in speed going from 45 to 55. I only gained around .5 to .75 mph faster on my pond prowler going from a 30lb motor to a 55. I can see a big difference in pulling power in the wind though.
  17. Garmin has the best customer service in the business.
  18. I have 7lb Sniper on my Shimano Symmetry 2500. I soaked the line in hot tap water before I spooled it and I have experienced no memory problems so far.
  19. The Spro has a smaller body and weighs a little less. I bought a couple Flat 75 to try last year and while they did ok, I caught more on the Little John’s.
  20. The Berkley scale works well until it gets wet.
  21. I don't use my spinning gear much and decided to break out my Shimano 2500 last week. Respooled it with 7lb Sniper and was really impressed with this line.
  22. Yeah, It’s a great setup but I don’t use it in really heavy cover.
  23. I pitch with a Kistler Helium 3 7’1” Mhxf , Chronarch Mgl 7.1, 15 lb P-Line Tactical Fluorocarbon
  24. Hopefully you'll get it at that price. I figured it was a mistake or misprint because the 6.3 was showing $449.
