I’m thinking about buying a 1990 1460 Fiberglass Jon boat. I will only be using trolling motors and fishing electric only waters mostly. The hull looked to be in pretty good shape. I’ve never owning a fiberglass boat before. Any cons? Anything I should look at before I buy?

I looked at 14 foot Lowe similar to your boat earlier today. It had a casting deck built on the front. Are they stable enough to stand and fish in the front?

It was probably a mama bear with a cub that was born last year. They stay with them for around 2 years. I’ve encountered many bears in my lifetime. Most of the time they’re more afraid of us than we are of them but the best thing to do is walk away slowly.

I looked it up and Sportsman’s Warehouse bought 8 out of the 35 Field and Streams from Dicks Sporting Goods back in October. There’s a Field and Stream in the City close to where my parents live, and it looks like that one won’t be affected by the buyout. It’s been over a year since I’ve been in there but they had a pretty good selection of everything and prices are the same as Dicks. I’m surprised that Dicks didn’t sell all of the stores since they are anti 2nd amendment.

I used the mag 2 Junebug for the first time yesterday at a small lake I rarely fish because I’ve never been able to catch more than 2 bass there. I caught 8 bass included one that was close to 5 lbs in 4 hours. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Tore em up today with a Junebug Texas rigged zoom worm. This was the biggest of the day.

I'm a professional painter and I've done more than my share of power washing and staining decks. Staining every 2 or 3 years with a high quality stain like Cabot or Sikkens is normal and recommended. Wood decks are a lot of maintenance.

I had a $400 rod and reel go overboard last year and I didn't jump in after it so I'm definitely not going swimming after a lure.
