  1. My MH Helium 3 doesnt feel tip heavy to me. Balances real well with a Chronarch MGL. Guides are perfect. A lot better than some of the Loomis NRX rods I've seen pictures of. I'd return it for another one. Every manufacturer has a defect every now and then.
  2. St Croix makes a Mojo Bass medium spinning glass crankbait rod. Rated up to 3/4 ounce. $149. It's only 7'2" though .
  3. Diawa reels should have the spool tension loose enough to have a little side play. My Shimano’s I adjust the spool tension according to the lure weight.
  4. Another vote for the Helium 3. I don’t like fat grips either and the H3 has a very comfortable grip and is super light and sensitive.
  5. Spro Little John DD 60. Dives 9 to 12 feet.
  6. Try the P-line Tactical. It’s a lot stronger than Fluoroclear
  7. I use 16 # Sniper on my jig setup. I only use braid for frogs.
  8. Kistler H3 would be my choice. I love mine. On sale right now for 21% off.
  9. The 71 weighs 6.5 ounce and the Tatula is 6.9. I doubt you will notice the difference.
  10. I don't hate spinning gear, I just dislike it. I don't throw anything light enough to need spinning gear. I'm a lot more accurate with a bc plus it's a pain having to flip the bail and spinning reels take up too much room on the boat deck.
  11. Yes it’s carpeted 1/2” plywood. Don’t have the dimensions with me. I had to trace the front and cut it because it gets narrower at the bow.
  12. I had a 6’ 10” MH Crucial that got broke in the bed of my truck a couple of years ago. It was my first good rod and I remember being blown away the first time I used it because it was so light and sensitive. I’m still kicking myself for not getting it replaced for half price under the warranty.
  13. Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap-Any of the chromes Spro Fat John Squarebill -Cell Mate or Spring Craw Spro Little John and Little John MD -Cell Mate,Rootbeer Chartreuse or Fire Craw Spro Rockcrawler -Phantom brown or green
  14. It says it takes 8 to 12 weeks for delivery
  15. Sportsman’s outfitters has the Daiwa Tatula on sale for $99.
  16. Vision 110
  17. War Eagle
  18. I’d get the Tatula as well. They’re on sale at Sportsman’s Outfitters
  19. On my Daiwas I set the spool tension loose enough to where it knocks. On my Shimano Chronarchs I have to set it so the lure drops slowly or it will backlash.
  20. Tatula for me. Like mentioned before they are a lot easier to dial in than Shimano.
  21. Swim bait,Whopper plopper,C-rig,A*rig,drop shot, Ned rig or any type of finesse fishing.
