  1. I like black or dark gray blanks, although I do like the looks of the purple of my Mojo Bass. I would never buy a white, silver or yellow rod.
  2. Yes . All of the reels mentioned in this thread will work fine with fluoro. Not sure if you know it or not but the Helium 3 is on sale now, 21% off.
  3. Theyre on sale now. I have a Helium 3 and a Loomis E6X . The Kistler blows the E6X away for only 30 more dollars.
  4. St Croix rods are usually heavier than there rating. Your medium rod is probably equivalent to a lot of other manufacturers mh rods.
  5. Kistler has all of there rods on sale 21% off now.
  6. I put a Tatula SV on my 7 ft MH helium 3. Haven't had it very long but I've been out a couple times throwing 3/8 jigs and it has quickly become my favorite setup
  7. I’d recommend a plastic boat like a bass raider or pond Prowler. Those are 48” wide and are a lot more stable than a 36” wide Jon boat. I had a 1436 Jon boat before I got my pond Prowler and I had a hard time standing and fishing in it. I can stand and fish all day in my pond Prowler
  8. 6.3 pounds on a Spro Little John
  9. McCoy xtra clear or mean green
  10. Did you have any luck today? I’m sure the lake was high and muddy like it’s been the past couple of weeks.
  11. Well I decided to go a different route. I was afraid there wouldn’t be a lot of difference between the Zillion and the Tat SV so I ended up ordering a Chronarch MGL .
  12. What is it that you don't like about the Tat SV? I love mine, just want to try something different.
  13. I’m thinking about getting a Zillion SV. I currently have 2 Tatula SV’s and 2 CT’s. Is there a noticeable difference in performance between the Zillion and Tat SV to make it worth the extra cost? I know the Zillion has a free floating spool and the Tatula doesn’t.
  14. Lews and Abu are made at the same factory.
  15. I have all Daiwa reels except for one Shimano Chronarch CI4. I highly doubt I’ll ever buy a reel that’s not a Daiwa or Shimano.
  16. I use a 5x8 utility trailer to haul my Pond Prowler. It’s too heavy for a truck bed after the mods I’ve done to it plus I never take my motors or batteries out.
  17. Never held a Sierra but I like my Fury better than my e6x so I'd get the Sierra.
  18. Your options are very limited at BPS for rods. I would go with an Avid x or LTB or use your gift card at Cabela’s on an ALX Zolo.
  19. My goal is to catch my first double digit bass.
  20. A chrome lipless crankbait worked with a stop and go retrieve to imitate a injured shad sometimes works for me when there's tons of shad jumping around in the creeks. I haven't had much luck when the shad are deep though.
  21. I would use a Copoly line. P-line CX or McCoy Xtra clear would be my choice.
  22. How long do you stay out on the water usually? A group 24 battery is going to give you less running time than a 27.

Me too. I have a hard time finding hats that fit.
  24. My great uncle that passed away a few years ago. He loved fishing as much as I do.
