Lure flew off during a cast...
I've been using the trilene knot with fluorocarbon for over two years now and it works well for me. Spit on your knots before you tighten it down and pull on your lure to check the knot before fishing.

Morning or Evening
I prefer to fish in the evening. I'm not a morning person.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
OK. I misunderstood you. I mounted my 7 inch Garmin on the front right side of my deck. I can lay my rods down on the side and still have at least a foot of clearance between them and the unit.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I put rod straps on the edge on both sides of mine. Right above where the cup holders are.

Preventing bite offs to tooth critters
I've caught dozens of pickerel and never had one bite my line and I only use 12 lb fluorocarbon.

KVD 1.5 Square Bill Vs. Others
I also use SPRO square bills. Pricey but well worth it.

Why do I get hung up all the time?
I wouldn't know how to act if I didn't lose a lure when I went fishing.

Which do you use more: Baitcasting or Spinning?
99 % baitcasting. 1 % spinning

Garmin powering off
OK thanks. I'll check all the connections.

Garmin powering off
I'll check that out. I've been running this setup since September and it's never done it before. I went fishing for a little bit this evening and my Bigfoot switch died. Maybe that had something to do with it since they're connected to the same battery?

Garmin powering off
Thanks for the suggestions. The voltage never dropped below 12v though according to the display on the unit. All I have going to the battery is the Garmin and a 12v trolling motor on my Pond Prowler. The battery is over 3 years old now. I'll check the voltage with a meter if it does it again.

Garmin powering off
Yesterday while fishing I noticed my striker 7dv had turned off twice. Nothing was loose and it came back on when I hit the power button. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this? I plan on calling Garmin tomorrow.

Losing a Big One
It happens. I lost 2 big fish this morning. Had them both close to the boat and could see them. Big bass.

Fluorocarbon or mono??
I use 12 lb Mccoy Xtra clear for cranks. Casts great and pretty strong.

What do You guys use for Multiple Application rods?
The $50 will make a big difference if you get a regular Tatula instead of the XT. It’s a lot better rod. Probably a lot less than $50 difference in you shop around online and Amazon.

Braid line, flurocarbon leader or not?
No leaders. Just another knot to worry about tying and possibly failing.

Folks, Don't Be This Guy
They were fishing on public property, even if they were close to the dock. Totally legal.

How much would you spend on a rod and/or reel?
300 for reel and 300 for rod is my limit but I have less expensive gear as well, I can't afford all of my combos to be that expensive.

Bps rod selection is a joke. They do have nice clothes though.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Caught this bass today on a Cavitron buzzbait. As soon as it hit the water and before I could start the retrieve she was on. I don’t know what it weighs, my scale wouldn’t power on.

Opinions of trailer hooks on spinner baits
I don’t use trailer hooks. I’ve never really seen the need for them.

G Loomis E6X or St Croix Mojo Bass
I have both rods and I like the mojo bass a lot better than the e6x. The e6x is my least favorite rod that I own.
