  1. I use a 7ft medium Zillion for t rigs and I love it. I also have a fury which is a nice rod for the money, but it is no comparison to the zillion which is lighter, more sensitive and has a better feel to it. I also have a Tatula rod and that is a step above the fury.
  2. You should of told her it may be small but you know how to use it. ?
  3. I fish alone 99% of the time. I enjoy the peace and quiet.
  4. We have snakeheads here in Virginia although I've never caught one. You're supposed to kill them if you catch one.
  5. LOL. I've been using baitcasters for over 20 years now. I had just gotten my 2nd SV. I spooled it up, set the tension and went to make a few test casts in the yard. I forgot to set the brakes on it though.
  6. Trout is the only freshwater fish that I'll eat.
  7. Oh you can get them to backlash. Bomb a 1/2 ounce rattle trap with the brakes set on 0. I did this by mistake and had to cut brand new line off. Lol
  8. Get a 36 lb minn Kota for a little over 100 bucks. Less time paddling and more time fishing.
  9. I wear shorts. I can't stand wearing long pants when it's over 70 degrees out.
  10. Mine gets a little water in it too. There are no drain plugs. I just flip it upside down and the water drains out.
  11. I have the quick connect plugs on my Pond Prowler and run a 55lb Minnkota with no problems.
  12. I always set my SV’s spools up so that there is side to side movement. I think the people that complain about casting distance don’t have them set up properly.
  13. I'd say it was a foot or so high. I would have definitely noticed 4 foot high on my fish finder. I fish out of a pond prowler with a pedastal seat on the deck so it's higher than sitting in a bass boat. The big rock that sticks out of the water way back in the creek past the old duck blind was completely submerged.
  14. I just caught one little dink. I don’t think anybody was doing too well Sunday. The water was high and muddy. I had to duck when I went under the bridge at Whippernock.

  16. I just spooled 2 reels with 12lb McCoy xtra clear and that stuff casts great. Fished all day in a 15 mph wind yesterday and not one single backlash. Seems pretty tough so far also.
  17. I wear 22$ Calcutta glasses. I would like to buy a pair of Costa’s but I would lose them within 3 months.
  18. Fished Chesdin yesterday and the water level is higher than normal.
  19. Thanks Sam. Chesdin has some really big hawgs . I just moved here a year ago and just started fishing Chesdin last fall and this is the 4th bass I’ve gotten over 5 lbs since then.
  20. Is fishing allowed there? I work 5 minutes from Byrd park.
  21. I live 10 minutes away from Whipperknock Marina and fish there usually once a week. The water levels are normal right now. I’m pretty sure the bass are on the beds now because I didn’t catch anything last week but I did catch a 6 pound female with a belly full of eggs on Easter Sunday.
  22. Send it back for a new one.
  23. I agree that it could be a bad batch of line. I’ve been using the improved clinch knot with fluorocarbon for 2 years and have never had a knot fail.
