  1. Thanks, I will do that. I plan on trying it out tomorrow afternoon.
  2. I'm sorry, but the Strike King Sexy Dead Carp Head was funny. He made fun of a sponsor, cool for him and his sponsor. I think Randy Moss is a great athlete, but why does he need a crew?
  3. A wife that goes to the nudie bar with you? Now that is a catch!
  4. And it was snowing here yesterday! I am chomping at the bit to get back out! I installed a new depth finder yesterday, so I was waiting on the silicone to dry. I had the grand kids today. While I did not get to fish today, I did manage to teach some basketball and spinning reel lessons.
  5. I bought and installed a Lowrance Mark 4 depth finder and chart plotter on my boat. All the reviews with the exception of one were favorable. Does anyone else have advice about my new toy. I do realize that it is obsolete, but it was not too expensive, and I have had good experience with Lowrance products in the past.
  6. Alabama Rig Carolina Rig Flipping Maybe dropshot
  7. There will be some that will make the run. But from what I saw the last time the Road Trip was at Pickwick, BR members caught plenty of fish. I went the same weekend and caught plenty.
  8. There should still be plenty of water to fish.

It is on the Tennessee river. It will be good. How far upstream from Kentucky dam will you be?
  10. Nice catch.
  11. There is plenty of shopping. If she likes golf, several public courses in the area.
  12. Three and four inch grubs, on 1/8 and up jig heads. Learn what current breaks look like, and work them with the grubs. You will catch a lot of drum, and lose a lot of lures, but the reward can be the fish of a life time. Road Warrior can tell you how to fish live bait in tail races. I very rarely go above Patton Island bridg to fish, and do pretty well. Also, right below the dam, a lot of folks do well with top waters. Especially in the summer.
  13. I guess a couple of A rigs are in my future. Nice fish!
  14. I like smoke curl tail grubs.
  15. I do love Pickwick this time of year.
  16. Sunday February 21
  17. For those of you still on the fence. Friday February 21
  18. Form is in the mail box. I do have an empty seat in my boat, but it is a small boat, 16x48. Also, I do not want to sound like a tea totaler, but I don't drink alcohol on my boat and would prefer that you didn't either. I drink, but at the camp site or room, not out on the river.
  19. Thanks for sharing kevo. Bait was hard to find yesterday. Friday, I did manage to put three good brown fish in the boat. I was using Fat Albert grubs on a 3/8 oz lead head. I mainly fish the tail race area. From the Trace Bridge to Wilson dam.
  20. Here is a sample of Pickwick's beauties. It was caught February 14, 2013
  21. Guess I am gonna have to break down and buy a rig. Never have spooled up with heavy line, but I may as well adapt.
  22. While a Focus ain't my first choice for a ride, I own two, I like thirty plus miles to the gallon.
  23. Nice fish. I have heard of the length by girth calculation.
  24. I try hard to remember but the process never starts. So true.
