I am glad I read this. I will not be buying a Tracker boat. I want another boat in the future and this thread just helped me eliminate Tracker.

I wish I had met you fellows while I was up there. I made it down Thursday night, fished awhile and then fished until the wind got unbearable Friday morning.

I have had my fishing license checked twice in the last 3 months. By a water patrol officer. I have yet to see a game warden this year.

Just get yer pole and go fishin'. You will mess up, but what you learn will last longer. Besides, the price of a guide will pay for a couple of nice rods and reels.

Since you are thinking of replacing the plugs. Cut the plug off of the trolling motor end. Install an inline fuse and try the trolling motor seperate from the boats wiring system. This will tell you whether the problem is the motor or wiring.

I don't know about Guntersville, but Wilson and Pickwick have and abundance of 10 to 14 inch bass. If folks would eat some of the smaller bass, I think it would be good for the fishery. Also, I don't think tournaments kill that many fish. At least from what I have seen.

After I got done fishing Thusday night I stopped at a deli, gas station for beer and pizza. There was a fellow there that was fishing in a tournament Friday morning. He had caught so many fish he could not stop grinning. It is fun when you think you can catch a fish every cast.

I hate that I missed getting to meet everyone. I did make it down Thusday night. Caught a few fish Thursday evening and then several more Friday morning until the wind blew me off the river. Maybe next time.

There are spillways on at Wilson Dam. The water is up pretty high but this can make for some good fishing.
