  1. I guess it can anytime but I would be more worried about things like this happening after dark unless it is in a very isolated area.
  2. Like a lot of others I use the SPF 50 sun screen. I bought some sun protection shirts from BPS. mine are short sleeve. I don't think I could stand long sleeves out fishing. Also wear blue jeans and New balance shoes.
  3. Hope everything goes well for you and have a good recovery.
  4. Like optimator said Sportsmans Warehouse has a place to recycle your fishing line. Bass Pro and Cabelas also have them. You might check with a locally owned tackle shop to see if they have them.
  5. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  6. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  7. I would throw a baby brush hog or a crawdad style bait. If that doesn't work then try a 6" to 8" worm.
  8. I caught a 30 pound bass years ago. I did not have a camera with me. I was using a 5 pound cricket for bait.
  9. I would try to find the colors you want in the War Eagle screaming eagle version. It is 1/2oz. spinnerbait on 1/4 oz. frame. I have better luck with them than the full sized ones.
  10. Hello and welcome to the forum. I can't help you with skipping a bait but there are a lot of people on here that can help you.
  11. Looks like the bait monkey will be waiting for him to get a job and have some money so he get him a few years down the road.

  13. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  14. I would recommend gamakatsu short shank hooks.
  15. Abu Garcia website has a lot of information about their reels. They have breakdown pictures and other info. I don't know if they have any info on a reel that old. Hopefully they will also have a list of part numbers. You might want to contact Delaware Valley Tackle. I'm sure he can help you.
  16. You might try changing out the hooks and going with some that are one size smaller and have the short shank.
  17. Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't help you with your fishing up there.
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  19. I set mine up on a texas rig with an 1/8 ounce sinker most of the time. As CroakHunter said the size of the bait determines the size of the hook you need.
  20. I'm not sure about dc voltage but in normal wiring a 40 amp breaker is the max allowed on 8 gauge wire. If you go to a 50 amp breaker you might overheat the wire before the breaker trips.
  21. I don't know about bass color perception. I can say I have never caught a bass on a green pumpkin jig. It usually either black and blue or pb&j colors.
  22. I agree just getting the boat out to make sure everything is okay was worth it. The lake I was fishing they have made it into a trophy lake. You are allowed to keep one but it must be 20" long. Everyday is like a weekend on this lake. These fish get hit so hard everyday it is a miracle anybody catches anything. The bite was slow for me too. had some bites where they nipped at it and let it go. Maybe we will both have better luck next time.
  23. For the cost of Megabass it is more than I will spend and I can see me losing it on the first cast in a lot of the places I fish. With a crankbait it usually the bill hitting the cover more than the hooks.
  24. I finally got the boat out Friday for my first fishing trip this year. Only about a month later getting started due to this crazy spring weather. I got to fish about four hours. I caught three. The first one was the biggest at about three pounds and 17" long. The next two were about 12" to 13" inches long. Started out throwing a chatterbait that never got a sniff. I caught the first one on a baby brush hog. The next two I caught on a 4 " sticko. That is BPS version of a senko. I least i have made a start on fishing this year.
