  1. I don't know how much boats and motors have changed over the years. I have a Bass Tracker 175 with a 40HP on it. When I was checking around for a new motor the dealer told me if I went with a 4 stroke a 60HP would be as big as I could go due to the weight of a 4 stroke motor. The boat is rated for a 75Hp.
  2. Bandit crankbaits with Norman crankbaits a close second. Zoom baby brush hogs and trick worms. War Eagle spinnerbaits.
  3. I try to keep it simple and at a minimum. I usually take 6 setups. I have a couple of spare backup reels in case one of mine develops a problem. A tackle box full of crankbaits and spinnerbaits. I have way to many soft plastics. A lot of them I try to use just to get rid of them and not buy those colors anymore. Also have a separate box for suspending jerkbaits an one for shaky head and dropshot stuff.
  4. Now we know who has the big money on the forum. If had a boat big enough to do that I would never get out of debt.
  5. Welcome to the club. I have been getting those e-mails ever since I joined. Evidently there is nothing they can do about it as several others told me they get them too. I just delete mine when I go to my e-mail. I don't even open them anymore.
  6. If you really want to stay on the good side with her let her out fish you once in a while. Don't rub it in when you out fish her.
  7. I hope you get your wiring straightened out. If you are getting 12 volts at you connections you might want to try this. Take the lens covers off your lights and remove the bulbs. Take your volt meter and check the the voltage inside the sockets. Be careful not to let the leads touch each other doing this. If you don't have voltage the problem is probably in the ground wiring. If you have voltage either the bulbs are bad or something is keeping them from making good contact in the sockets.
  8. You may need to clean the areas where the trailers lights are mounted to insure you have a good ground connection.
  9. I have heard of some cases where the hitch ball and coupler on the trailer had to be clean as this was how the ground connection was made.
  10. You will have 12 volts to ground through the connectors on the tail light, turn signal, or brake lights. You could possibly have a bad ground connection on the trailer. If you are getting 12 volts at the lights on all you connections you could have bad bulbs. Are these standard lights or LED trailer lights?
  11. Hello and welcome to the forum. I don't believe you can run a Lowrance and Humminbird units together. GPS capability would have to already be in the unit set up from the factory. I don't know of any way to add it in later.
  12. Hello and welcome to the forum. Maybe you will catch it next time.
  13. I am using Interstate batteries in my boat. I'm not sure which particular battery it is but I have had very good luck with them. My batteries are 4 tears old and so far are still holding up okay.
  14. If possible I would like this info as well. I have some Shimano Citica D reels I thought about sending in if you the parts for them.
  15. If I tried to set up my Lews or shimano bait casters the way Brent Ehrler does I would have some of the worst backlashes the world has ever seen.
  16. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  17. If I could only pick one color for cranks and topwaters it would be a shad color. Soft plastics would be green pumpkin. For a jig it would be PB&J.
  18. ^^^I totally agree with what was said above.^^^
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  20. I mostly use lead but i do have some tungsten weights. I get upset when a tungsten weight gets hung up and I end up losing it due to the cost of them. I am a little unsure about tungsten weights and which ones to use due to hearing and seeing so many reviews about them causing line damage and people losing fish. For what it is worth I always peg my weight.
  21. Iv'e had very good luck with Sufix Siege for crankbaits and spinnerbaits. You will probably want to try florocarbon for soft plastics and jigs.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
  23. The bait determines what size hook to use. Some of them you are better off with EWG hooks and some you will be better off with off set round bend hook.
  24. Hello and welcome to the forum to fishing Kansan81 and Shatam.
  25. Thinking about buying a Daiwa Fuego bait casting reel that Cabelas has on sale right now. Anybody tried them out or have any info on them? Any info good or bad is appreciated.
