No matter what brand your after....Go back and look at them again only this time take the reel you intend to use on the rod and see how the rod/reel combo fits and feels in your hand..That's the best way!!!! I agree 100% u would be surprised the diff in a rod alone and one with ur reel matter of fact many rods feel Better without a reel in the store and a not so good feelin rod feels better with a reel on it

TRILENE knot used 98% of the time then a RAPALA knot i have never had either knot break from a fish .Also i have noticed amoung my travels and meetings with other fisherman not many know how to tie a GREAT knot Heard this many times i have brand new line and it broke ,when i look i can tell if a knot untied its easy to tell >everyone says ur line is ur only link to fish i agree to a sort but even if u have 80 PP and it aint tied right it will fail.Great knot tying is very important

ya and u dont need O rings to keep it from tearin when u wacky rig it ,,U gotta try a Zero in white wacky rigged WOW

Now i know why i bought all i could from walmarts when they ha d um on discount about 15 yrs ago 300 plus bags of augertails .I went to any walmart within 100 miles of me and bought umm all .Black,grape,black with a fire tail ,motor oil,purple,blue and soem weird colors i dont even remeber the names.BTW you can buy kits in walmart with 4 inch augertails .Dont no how long they will be available so grab um up

You could use braid ,its what i do on my softer action rods UL light and med lights are perfect for braids up to 6 lb diameter...

loyalty is good im very loyal to Manns i caught my personal best 10.4 oz here in maryland 1985 .But i dont just use manns baits i use what works its a lot more fun catching bass then wondering if,,,, GYCB ,tom Mann, creme, lauri rapala, etc,, etc ,, Are pi??ed im not using there baits 8-)

I think vanish has operator error more then anything,i seen a young boy hook a bass yesterday it jumped and he lost it he said it was brand new 12 lb stren and swore up and down it wasnt his knot i had to look and low and behold his knot unravailed i asked him to show me how he tied it.... YUP he tied it like so many do and have bad experiances with all line a knot i wouldnt even USE to tie a tomato plant up with i showed him a trilene knot and pulled on that thing till the line went into my finger .I do beleive 80% of ppl fishing TIE knots that they do on there own shoes ;D ;D

Burley come to think of it i seen some biggame in 12 and 15 in blue steel or something in that order maybe electric blue at my local k-mart want me to pick you up a few spools????
