  2. As much as i love my baitcasters even with my tiniest abus i still prefer a spinning reel for finesse..not that i finesse fish but if i was gonna do it i would use a shimano nasci 1000 size with some 2lb braid and a 6 ft rod..that sounds good
  3. I get a many a used spinning reel that way at yard sales .....addd line thats too much for said reel makes it a 2$ reel a new reel with a 3$ part and some tlc after using it

  9. IMO..yes now days any how case in point.....a lure made 70 yrs ago out of wood was lets say 50 cents it was bought to catch fish cause 50 cents was a lot of money....now roll up to 2019 that same lure NIB would now be 100$ ..so ya
  10. Ok on a diff note i have a chance to buy a calcuttaa 100 and a curado 200i for 100 bucks together from a buddy...is the 200i worth 50 i know the 100 is .....

  12. Does daiwa make a tatula without the t wing??
  13. Mag is only as good as its plating 1 tiny nick or scratch and saltwater will literally eat it up from inside
  14. Quality over quantity. ...a baitcaster only needs to have 3 bearings ..2 in spool one in handle crank ....10 bearings is a selling point thats it 4 of those bearings are in the handle one is in the sideplate at the end of the spool the other 5 bearings are what matters .. I have abus with only 2 bearings in the spool that are smoother then a lot of (take ur pick) 8 bearing 5 6 etc reels
  15. They have them at my local Ollies outlet ...
  16. U wont never be undergunned with a abu garcia round reel they can do anything a low profile can do ...with much easier matinance
  17. Mono for all ...big game and hybrid ..i havent found a need for braid and definatly no need for floro..braid is not very abrasions resistant and floro stretches and has problems with knots ...mono is a jack of all trades IMO
  18. Try a tandem fluke rig....a fluke in front of a superfluke and hang on bass dont like competing..
  19. Ya i had a 4000 bg on a 7ft uglystik striper rod .it was too big for all.day slongingyhe 3500 was way more user friendly...but keep.it in that area..
  20. If you are taking sideplates off a spinning reel to get backlashes out ..none of yall need baitcasters for a long long time.....
  21. This i why i dont put stickers (fishing) (hunting) on my vehicles anymore ..the honest thieves (LMAO)the ones that dont break windows to steal are gone ...
  22. Id keep them and not use them ..not worth much but still great reels back in the day ....parts are hard to find if they happen to be used and break which is vary rare they are tanks ....
