Kastking Stealth
Thanks. What would you say is your favorite Kastking baitcaster under 100? Is the Assassin a good reel? And I thought about that limited edition Pro Qualifier but a lot of people say it's not as good as the standard Pro Qualifier.

Kastking Stealth
I have two baitcasting rods and one reel (Daiwa Feugo) right now. I want to get another reel so I'll have two rods rigged, but I can't decide which one to get. I want to keep it definitely under $100, but preferably under $80. For that price, is the Kastking Stealth a good reel? It's 6 oz. which is really nice, but makes me wonder if it will hold up well. A lot of the reviews say it has insane casting distance. Thoughts on it?

Flipping left handed vs right handed
I've always flipped with my right hand, but I'm going to try with my left hand tomorrow because I need a solution to switching hands every flip.

Berkeley Big Game vs. Stren Original monofilament
I've used XT, but I don't know what XL is. I used to use Stren but I don't remember what it was like. I think I'll go with big game though.

Berkeley Big Game vs. Stren Original monofilament
Stren monofilament is more expensive, but does the quality reflect the price, or is the Big Game better? I'm going to buy a bulk spool of one of these for all around stuff. Which should I go with?

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Might be. The hooks were barbless but I just couldn't get it out for a while for some reason. I found some wire cutters yesterday so I've got them in my tackle box now. I started out like that but I started trying to tear it out pretty hard once I realized that it wasn't coming out. It was just a hard one to unhook I think.

The hook shank is under a piece of its skin, so it can't just be popped out, assuming that's the same way mine was hooked. ^

Landing fish??
What's wrong with grabbing the line? I never lose fish because of that.

Classic Meet Up?
That's what I thought right before I caught that 7+ pounder yesterday. The water was about one inch of visibility.

Next rod??
The only thing I can think of that you're missing is a heavy rod for jigs.

Unfortunate
I've still never hooked one really deep. Hope I never do.

I usually keep them in my tackle box but I might start carrying them in my pocket so I can get them faster.

Heddon Torpedo
Does it blow all the other topwaters out of the water? ?

Another weird thing I forgot to mention. I could somehow sense I was going to catch a huge bass today. The whole time I was fishing up until I hooked that one it was just looming over me. It got stronger when I walked over to the spot where I caught it. This sounds weird but I wasn't just imagining it. I remember thinking before I caught it that it was weird how I felt like I was going to catch a big bass.

A fish is not a toy
Ok but the kid is going to be really spoiled and annoying later if everyone just lets him do whatever he wants.

A fish is not a toy
Why would you reward him for that...?

I started out using my hands but it wasn't working and I cut myself in several places with the trebles so I got out my pliers. Thanks; I hope so.

Big game mono memory 10lb vs 15lb
I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Big game mono memory 10lb vs 15lb
Ha, I think you'll notice a difference, but I don't have enough experience to really appreciate a really good line; I've tried all kinds and they're all the same to me. The one thing I've noticed about the Seaguar is that it's strong and very abrasion resistant.

Big game mono memory 10lb vs 15lb
I didn't realize lighter line was more sensitive. I think I'm going to go back to big game after using Seaguar flourocarbon for a while. I really don't notice much of a difference but the Seaguar is much more expensive.

That's what I thought. He swam off fine. Thanks. I did dunk it once to get some water through its gills, so hopefully its alright.

I usually do, but I couldn't keep it out of the water any longer just to get a picture.

Well, I caught a probably 8 - 9 pound bass on a red eye shad today, but the trebles were hooked in such a weird way that it was like solving a puzzle to get them out. I finally did after 1 - 2 minutes and he swam away alright, but I feel awful about it knowing that he may not survive now. It's especially bad that it was probably one of the biggest bass in the pond. Should I start carrying bolt cutters for situations like this? I think I could have gotten it a lot faster with those.

My fishing partner just signed his will...
Sorry to hear that. The easiest way I can think of is bobber fishing in a chair. It doesn't require much energy/exertion.

New Pflueger Trion not spinning very much
I returned it. I think I'll be getting a new one soon.
