  1. I have 2 spinning combos I use for all my finesse fishing: 1. Daiwa Tatula XT 7' Medium/Fast spinning rod, paired with Daiwa Fuego LT 3000 - $145 total 2. Carbon-Lite 2.0 6'6" Medium Light/Fast spinning rod, paired with Daiwa Fuego LT 2500 - $155 total
  2. I have the exact set up as Hook2Jaw. Just got it and used it a few times. It's a super nice rod for the price. I got mine during 20% off sale at TW.
  3. I have the 7'3" MH and really like it. I paid $99 for it and for that price, sweet rod.
  4. For 2 people I would be looking at small jon boat or Pelican bass raider. When I go with someone, I am in their boat or my signature boat. I often fish with other people with individual kayaks.
  5. I don't use leader, just straight Invisx 8lb for finesse.
  6. 6th Sense, Strike King, Berkley are all good choices. I prefer 6th Sense. I do the monthly box deal. Sweet!!!
  7. I have both rods. The ML is great for 1/4 ounce poppers, Vision 110 Jr, flukes etc. The medium is use for larger poppers, Whopper Ploppers, buzz baits etc. both fantastic rods for the price. I believe they are $69.99 at SO. I also have the MH cranking rod for the largest cranks I throw. I have both paired with Tatula 100 reels. Both rods and reels are highly recommended.
  8. I have the 200, I use it for Heavy, deep cranking. I use a Lexa 300 for large swimbaits.
  9. I have been focused on mid to higher end rods for bottom contact baits. Tatula rods are my go-to. Treble and non-bottom contact, I am using Tatula XT rods.
  10. I’m certain SO will take care of it, just extra work for everyone.
  11. Who’s fault is it? I doubt SO shipped it out like that. Somebody at USPS did this, right?
  12. Just got this today from SportsmansOutfitters. Shipped vs USPS. Neighbor said the postman dropped it off and took off fast. Never seen anything like it. The tube was snapped in the middle, rod folded in half put back inside, and taped up. Ridiculous.
  13. Biggest fish for me in 2019 was 4 lbs 2 oz, caught on zoom super fluke, bluegill flash.
  14. I have all three models to cover up to 15 feet deep, the best color for me are the perch renditions. I have them in Tennessee Shad as well. Excellent lures and catch everything! They also work trolling believe it or not. I fish jerkbaits on 6’10” medium fast rod, 7.x:1 gear ratio reel and 10lb flouro. Flouro helps keep the baits down in the water column, it has less stretch than mono (this imparts better action to the jerkbait - starting and stopping), and is less visible. Not sure how much difference the latter makes because the jerkbait is a reaction bait.
  15. You are going to love it! My favorite reel by a wide margin. Does everything well in my opinion. I have 2, paired to Tatula rods.
  16. I lost a few crankbaits: Spro Rock Crawler, SK 3XD and 5XD, Berkley Dredger. Also lost a few Dark Sleepers. When cranking deep cranks, I usually lose them on deep timber. It happens. Must get the lure where the fish are or what’s the point?
  17. My wife gave me a Cabela’s Advanced Angler’s backpack. My son gave me 4 Rapala Husky Jerks (regular and deep). My daughter gave me a gift card to BassPro. Santa dropped off 2 Daiwa Tatula rods: 7’ Medium and 7’1’ Heavy for me.
  18. I’ve had a lot of success with the Keitech Tungsten Football jig in green pumpkin. 3/8 ounce.
  19. Got me a few more proven fish catchers! Great crankbait.
  20. Get back monkey!!! Geez! I don’t need it...but it is a great reel. I have the 6.8:1 already...the 5.6:1 I might be able to use??
  21. Austin Canoe and Kayak
  22. I have a Jackson paddle kayak that I really like. I will be keeping it. The reason for pedal: bigger waters, windy days. Having my hands free is going to be huge. Worth it? I am hoping it is. To me, being able to manage wind with a pedal drive is going to be worth it. You can manage wind with a paddle, anchor/trolly, drag chute etc. with this yak, I will have the PDL for breezy days. Not to mention the range should increase. I also have a 12 foot semi-V Smokercraft with 5 HP Honda. I use this for the largest lakes. I ordered the yak from ACK on Black Friday. It was 10% off. They were fantastic to work with. Kayak arrived flawless.
  23. They advertise that it is super stable. Have not use it yet. Watched videos on it, looks very easy to stand on. It’s a tunnel hull design.
