  1. I'm still laying out the plans for storage compartments on the F-9. Trying to make it A: Big enough for expansion of lures/plastics inventory and B: Easily accessible. Topic segues are common - roll with it, man.
  2. And darn proud of it too!
  3. Ya - I've got plastics separated by type in Plano 3607-10 boxes, in original bags. My Z-Man stuff is in a box by itself.
  4. I do this to KEEP me from 'going postal' in the winter.
  5. Ya - I've stolen the wife's 'Brother P-Touch 1280' to label both boxes and compartments.
  6. That photo is of my phone running Open Office for Android with my tracking spreadsheet loaded up. I also have the spreadsheet on the Tablet which also has the app. So ya...I'm already doing it.
  7. Ummm...I can do that on my phone or tablet.
  8. Sure seems that way...I know I've experienced colder winters here (been in this house since 1986), but I can't remember exactly when.
  9. Too late - I've been running sheets of everything since the beginning...this is just part of my 'lures' page.
  10. I know where you're coming from...and we don't follow that path. 'nuff said.
  11. Our temps don't know what they want to do. Today we hit 34 for the high. 7 day temp forecast is Fri: 10 Sat: 28 Sun: 19 Mon: 32 Tues: 28 Wed: 10 Thurs: 9
  12. I think you'll love it. I have a Supreme (the XT is a step up) and it's a great reel. If I had the money, I'd grab a couple of those XT's.
  13. I did - in our house, she makes at least as many final decisions as I do.
  14. Not in my house...my wife and I are full partners, negotiating decisions until a mutual agreement is made. If I tried to make a decision that she was even partially against...the garage (unheated) would become my bedroom.
  15. My next-door neighbor comes to mind.
  16. With the wife being mostly disabled - I do it all. Clean, cook, laundry, shopping... Course even when she was healthy and mobile, I still did about 50%...we both had full-time jobs so it was only fair. And that started before we were even married...we co-habitated for a year before our wedding.
  17. Do we get to go Space Truckin'?
  18. That's all I've used on my reels for 50+ years...never had an issue...and I've got a couple reels almost that old that still work great - just don't use them because of weight for one, and wrong-sided handle for the other.
  19. Tom and A-Jay got it...10# braid max for DS. If you run a leader, 6#-8#. 1/4oz weight if you're casting for distance. 10# Sufix 832, 6# InvizX leader, 1/4oz DS weight on a President-25/Fury 702SF - I can toss that sucker 40-50 yds. Only time I put the 1/8oz weight on is if I'm 'dropping' it over the side or going for short (less than 10yds) lobs...which I do WAY more often than casting for distance with a DS.
  20. That's called 'age', dude (trust me, I'm there...)
  21. Well...I've reorged my combos and dedicated two to panfishing...with a rod for a third on my wishlist. 1000 size on UL/F - 4# Sufix Elite (once I have the rod) 2000 size on L/F rod - 4# YZH 2500 size on ML/MF rod - 6# Sufix Elite 1/32-1/16 oz jigs with 1"-2" plastics from SK Mr. Crappie line - straight cast/retrieve or slip bobber (UL/F rig) 1/8-1/4oz jigs with 2"-3" plastics or live chub minnows - straight cast/retrieve or slip bobber (L/F rig) Small cranks - Ratlin' Rap 04, Shad Rap 04, etc - (ML/MF rig)
  22. I remember those days too, when a rod-reel combo would come in at 1.5lb or more. Now, the heaviest rig I own is just under 15oz - and that's my flipping rig. And even though I have a reel in my lineup that weighs 8.7oz - the total rig is under 12oz because it's on a light rod.
  23. With Minnetonka's shore areas getting smaller - it's shoulder-to-shoulder along the shore spots still available once the ice is gone...sometimes even before ice-out has been declared since the smaller areas (Black Lake, the channels) open up before the last floes disappear from the big bays.
  24. Seemed like it the two years I lived there...you could get everywhere with just a 10-speed bike.
  25. Personally - ya, I like a 4 power for spinners and chatters of 3/8 or heavier...remember the stated weight is JUST for the head...add in the hook, skirt and blades and you're close to 5/8oz...put a trailer on it and now you're over the top-end lure rating for a 3 power rod. My 3 power is for jerkbaits, lipless and mid-size topwaters (Zara Spooks, WP-60, etc)
