Y'all making me want to put together my Irish Stew sometime soon.
  2. We're not getting that cold...dropping to -19 tonight with wind chills hovering around -31 Then we zoom up to +22 tomorrow with some snow.
  3. Na - 100 octane avgas.
  4. I do the same thing with my 2001 Silverado...the only thing thieves would get outta my truck is maybe a spare quart of oil.
  5. As the chart that A-Jay posted said in big letters and underlined ALWAYS wear your PFD. That should always be first on any list when paddling.
  6. I would go with the uni/uni if you want the leader...otherwise just dispense with the leader. Bass aren't that line shy that the yellow mono is gonna scare them off. I'd also up it to 10# and make sure it's a quality mono - Sufix Elite would be my suggestion...it's the only mono I use.
  7. Ya - if I'm going to upgrade from InvizX to Tatsu...it's only gonna be during a 'deep' sale.
  8. The only pike bites I've gotten when targeting bass came on Bluegill patterned Ratlin' Rap 07 Frog patterned Choppo 90 Never even seen a pike chase my white/chart lures...maybe it's just you.
  9. Echoing my 'neighbor' - white does well, but white/chartreuse has done better for me...whether spinner or chatter. Profile pic - caught on white/chart spinner These two, white/chart chatter.
  10. He's optimistic - beyond 36hrs is 'educated guess'...beyond 72 hours is dart-throwing. That's from my dad who was a meteorologist in the Navy.
  11. I've yet to have a rod broken in transit...and I've had them shipped all ways - UPS, FedEx, USPS...
  12. Sad part about it....it's true here in MN too.
  13. You'd die up here, man. Current predicted high for tomorrow is -2.
  14. And for tonight's wonderful weather.
  15. This is my reasoning - 10# 832 to 6# InvizX leader.
  16. Another special at Scheels Quantum Vapor PT spinning reels at 33% off https://www.scheels.com/p/quantum-vapor-pt-spinning-reel/32784-VPS.html?cgid=fishing-spinning-reels
  17. If you got a smart phone....I'd link my Tablet to my Phone in that instance - 8" screen vs 4" screen
  18. Air express it up here, man. I haven't had any good jambalaya since I hit NOLA one weekend when I was TDY at Keesler AFB back in 1982
  19. And out of my budget....around $100 is my ballpark...and no, not the BG - there's just something about it I don't like and I can't put my finger on it.
  20. My bad taste is from the fact that all the USDM Diawa reels are deep spools...I don't want to have to use that much backing when I'm only looking for 70-80yds of mainline.
  21. BPS is currently 'liquidating' the previous model Supreme XT for $100 - new model forgoes the Anti-Reverse switch. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pflueger-supreme-xt-spinning-reel-1408220742116-1
  22. Are you using 'B' size (1") on those Rams? If you are, moving up to 'D' size (2.5") might fix the problem.
  23. I think it'd be obvious, Paul. Green for green bass Brown for brown bass Duh!
  24. I'd start with a 10/0 and go up from there...all depends on the size of the banana.
  25. Scheels has a Valentines sale going on Echomap UHD 73SV with GT54 is $499.99 ($300 off) Echomap UHD 93SV with GT54 is $699.99 ($350 off) Lots of other things on sale too https://www.scheels.com/c/fishing?prefn1=onSale&prefv1=sale|Events&start=0&sz=23
