Progressive polarized sunglasses??
I'll have to look into that - thank you, dear lady.

Progressive polarized sunglasses??
You rock - got them bookmarked for when I have the cash to get a pair or two. I've been using 'cheap' flip-ups I got off Amazon...they've been alright, but they're a little small for my tri-focals.

Best Fluorocarbon for Spinning Reel
I run straight 8# InvizX on President XT-30...other than Tatsu, it's the best I've tried Less line twist. I'm running 10# 832 braid to 6# InvizX on my finesse rig...President-25.

Winter 2021/22
You guys got hammered. Last time we got a snow like that was the Halloween Blizzard of 1991. Stay safe, stay warm, don't try to shovel it all out in one day - don't want to give yourselves heart-attacks...which can happen in something like this to even 20-somethings.

Will I ruin my new Trolling Motor?
Batteries don't push power down to something...the something has to pull the power. Larger diameter wire = less resistance. If the gauge wire already installed is of a lower number than what Minn Kota says you need for the Terranova - you're golden. Remember, the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Think of it like numbered hooks... a #1 is larger than a #4...by same token, 1 gauge is larger than 4 gauge.

Pflueger Supreme xt or smoke s3 spinning reel
That's an improvement - removing the AR switch is a step backwards.

Will I ruin my new Trolling Motor?
Ya, it's just the single distance...they take into account the return trip of the electrons.

Pflueger Supreme xt or smoke s3 spinning reel
Ya - I'm a Pflueger fan since the 70s...still have my 640 UL reel from back then. If I had the cash, I'd jump on the discounted XTs in a heartbeat.

Will I ruin my new Trolling Motor?
Heavier wire reduces the resistance...meaning more power is transmitted. No, you can use the same wiring long as it's large enough for the new motor...check the Minn Kota site - the motor is only gonna draw what it wants...it's if the wiring is too small (motor wants 6 gauge, you got 10 gauge installed) that you have problems.

Pflueger Supreme xt or smoke s3 spinning reel
Skip the President XT and get a Supreme XT for the price of a President XT Currently, BPS has discounted the prior model to $100 and they have 30s in stock. The new model did away with the anti-reverse switch. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pflueger-supreme-xt-spinning-reel-1408220742116-1

Last item for spring. Who now makes those simple aeration pumps? That can hang on a Home Depot 5 gallon pail?
This has a lid with a swing-up opening and includes a battery powered aerator that clips into the slot in the lid. I have one, and it fits Home Depot 'Homer Buckets' as well as standard 5-gallon pails. Even has spots to hang tools and lures from. https://www.amazon.com/Marine-Metal-Bubble-Aerator-Lb-11/dp/B08N8Y1KY3

Plano boxes only......... or bust????
Add to that, they have more divider slots so more customization. It's what I used for a terminal box before I modded a 3701 by putting in more dividers with a soldering iron to secure them.

Something you should never do
In my case it's called memory issues...not due to age - other factors. I need to 'make lists' so I don't forget things.

Winter 2021/22
That's pretty typical height for November storm waves on the Great Lakes too. While most waves are in the 3'-6' range... Superior has seen 30'+ waves - the estimated wave that sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald was 35' Also - did you know that there's surfing on the Great Lakes? Yep...it's a thing. https://www.surfertoday.com/surfing/the-ultimate-guide-to-surfing-the-great-lakes

Reel cleaning
Ya - only reason I stop in is for panfish lures...they mainly cater to panfish/walleye/pike people. My minnows I get just down the road from me. The BP station on Shoreline (15) and Interlachen has actual tanks, not like the other convenience stores that keep them in bags.

Reel cleaning
There's a reason they're still in business as a 'mom and pop' shop...good service, decent prices, friendly staff. They've been there at least as long as I've lived out here....almost 36 years now. ED: I looked it up...been in business since 1975.

You know you're country when?
You never go to the dentist cause there's nothing in there he can work on.

Something you should never do
I've got a 'tab' for that too...and one for rods. And my panfish lures are on a separate tab from the bass lures.

How do you retrieve a dropshot?
Ya - what he said (all of it).

Something you should never do
For me, on the lures/plastics especially, I can look at the spreadsheet when I'm tagging items to buy and be assured that I'm not buying something I already have. Otherwise with my memory, I'd have to pull all my boxes out and check every single lure/plastic I own manually.

Joining the 'real' boat crowd
They're saying 32 Monday, 27 Tuesday...gonna shoot for that...gives me two days to get it done. Once that's done...gotta get more 1"x1" angles to start piecing together the main framing.

Joining the 'real' boat crowd
Now waiting on a decent day - temp above 25 - to run the propane heater to get the garage up to temp to pour foam...could have done it yesterday, but I couldn't find my disposable measuring cups to measure the Part-A and Part-B of the foam. Right now it's ready, Styrofoam glued in place, spray foam sealing up openings on the sides, pour-holes cut. I also got the through-hull for the livewell in...5/16" pilot hole followed by a carbide-tipped 1" Forstner bit New stickers arrived today too...once the Smoke Gray is on between the gunwale and the upper chine, these go on.
