  1. If you're not concerned about size - finesse (Ned, Dropshot, etc) or Wacky (weighted or weightless)
  2. Fleet Farm has several models of Plano Edge boxes on sale for 20% off through the 15th https://www.fleetfarm.com/search?Ntt=plano+edge
  3. That's what my 7' MH/F is dedicated to...moving baits. I have a Fury 704C for bottom contact (T-Rigs, Jigs, etc) and swim jigs.
  4. From my experience with a 7' H/F, 7' MH/F and two 6'6" M/F Aird-X rods...they're a little softer in the tip (more a MF-F than a true F) but the power seems accurate.
  5. Got you both beat. -17 here currently.
  6. I've got 4 - but two have been replaced by Furys for boat fishing and are now shore-fishing rods.
  7. I go a little further than Papa - end of the day, the plastics come off...even if I leave the lure tied on.
  8. Scheels carries a variety of tip-ups...ice rod holders too with tip-up flags. https://www.scheels.com/z/search-ice-fishing-tip-ups
  9. For cranks - 705CBMF and a 703C or 733C for lighter stuff - wacky, weighless plastics, etc.
  10. TW has a special - $38.49 on the Aird-X https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Aird_X_Casting_Rods/descpage-DAX.html?from=gshop
  11. I've been working the last couple weeks when I can. Got the main part of the sub-floor framed in, and now I'm cutting and fitting Styrofoam preparatory to doing the pour-foam.
  12. I forget what my percentage was last year - but I placed 17th for the BR group. Not too shabby for my first outing...
  13. I know there's people here who don't use it on InvizX and have no issues...it's just a thing with me that I use it.
  14. Sean, I tried Red Label myself a few years ago and hated it...ran away from FC because of that. I do like InvizX on the spinning gear...KVD might not be needed, but I use it on all my non-braid line anyway.
  15. Keeping inside, away from sunlight and temperature extremes - no noticeable difference will be felt. This should be the norm for all monofilament lines - Nylon (what most people think of when you talk Mono), Flourocarbon and Hybrid.
  16. While the Fury 733 is labeled as 'Medium-Heavy', it's line/lure stats are more in line with 'Medium'. I consider my Fury 703 'Medium-Heavy' as a medium and use it as such.
  17. I've had issues with FC lines in the past, but a couple have been good to me I have InvizX in 6# and 8# on a couple spinning rigs. Using KVD, it's not given me any trouble. I have 15# Tatsu on my bottom contact rig (Fury 704/Patriarch 7.1:1) and it's also been very well behaved. Got the spool of line as a gifting. I'd say if you want to dish out the money, Tatsu is about as good as it gets, but for those of us more budget conscious, InvizX is a great second choice.
  18. I've been running a 7' Aird-X MH/F as my moving baits rod for a couple years now. With braid, I can feel the vibration of a chatterbait as it moves through the water. I would look up a bit for a T-Rig...or any bottom contact...rod. I have a Fury 704C for that application.
  19. I just looked over 2021 (through mid-October) boating fatalities report from the DNR One time, they were wearing their PFD - but they were hit by a PWC...injuries from that caused the death. Another - they fell off the front of a pontoon and were hit by the propeller. Rest of them - drowning, and none of them were wearing their PFD. 15 people died because they couldn't bother to be 'encumbered'. https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/education_safety/safety/boatwater/accident_summary21.pdf
  20. It's the paddleboards that pass within 10' of you...they got a swimsuit on, a paddle in hand...and nothing else on that board. So ya, they're illegal.
  21. I've seen a bunch who don't even have one with them...so that's how I took it.
  22. In Minnesota, it's required Paddleboarding and Minnesota law There must be a United States Coast Guard approved life jacket, either worn or on board, for each person. Children younger than 10 years old must wear a properly fitted lifejacket.
  23. I saw it a bit ago - my first thought was, "Why aren't any of these things held somewhat close to me?" Oh well, maybe someone else here will get a chance.
  24. Waypoints are user data. Also, if you use the Quickdraw software on the unit to create a map of a lake that's not already mapped...that's user data.
