Cork Repairs
I don't have any pitted yet - but if I do, this is what I'd use. Strong, lightweight, close to the same color https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/model-lite-balsa-filler-balsa-brown-240cc/DLMBD6.html Balsa RC plane guys use this for repairs.

Winter 2021/22
No idea - and no, we're not shipping the warmth north...it's bad enough down here.

Which Costa sunglasses are best for fishing?
I would personally go with the polycarbonate lenses - that's the same material used in safety glasses, or safety lenses in prescription glasses...which I have.

Pro Influence
I may look to Seth for inspiration - but his signature rods are out of my price bracket. I mainly look to him for techniques...and that on vids he shot on Minnetonka or in the area. I don't buy baits based on what the pros use...I buy what I think will work on my lake.

If you had to pick ONE bait
Horizontal.

Pro Influence
That's like me with Seth Feider - his 'home' lake is my lake.
-
If you had to pick ONE bait
String it on, bait-keeper of lure in the belly, hook exposed...both those have weed-guards.

Would You Rather?
And for your third option 8# YZH on M/F casting gear - about 80% of my jerks 6# InvizX on ML/MF spinning - the other 20% (the 'little' ones)

If you had to pick ONE bait
Decisions...decisions. Toss up between 1: 3/8 swim jig in green pumpkin with a Pit Boss trailer in green haze or 2: 3/8 Z-Man original chatterbait in chartreuse/white with a Pit Boss trailer in Skeet's chartreuse shad Those were my two most productive this past year.

Retirement ain't perfect ?...
Sounds like my relationship - we're always joking with each other. Comes from 31 years of marriage. My parents are the same - they had their 64th this past August.

What lure did you catch your biggest bass on in 2021 ?
Since I had the tablet mounted on the middle seat of my old canoe, I could set the self timer on that and get a shot. This is the full-size of my avatar pic - taken in the canoe with the tablet...this one is my 2020 'best of the year'.

What affordable rod should I buy
Definitely - I keep my eye out for used Patriarchs since Pflueger seems to have stopped making them. I've gotten two used ones in great condition for under $100 each.

What lure did you catch your biggest bass on in 2021 ?
Blue Fox Flash Spinner - from the bank

Retirement ain't perfect ?...
I guess you're not married then?

Retirement ain't perfect ?...
I keep getting handed a list - but it keeps getting lost somewhere. ?

What is this?
I dunno, Brian. Based on fin structure, looks more like a member of the Shiner family to me. This is a pale Golden Shiner - looks pretty close. http://fishesofboneyardcreek.weebly.com/uploads/1/3/5/6/13567119/6565050.jpeg

Winter 2021/22
I liken it more to trying to shovel wet concrete.

General purpose bank fishing rod
The 703 is a good rod - it's my shakey/wacky/fluke rod. But, as people are saying, a shorter rod from the bank is better - I take my 6'6" rods if I'm walking the bank, leave the 7' at home. Fury 663 would be the ticket there.

worm box
I tried the 3716-10 - hated it...couldn't fit enough bags into it. Right now I have a bunch of the 3607-10 (open compartment) - I can fit more in that 3607 than I could in the 3716 With the boat re-work, I'm looking at upgrading to the 3707-10.

Bass and Carp
You can drown in 6" of water. Conk your head, go face-first in a puddle unconscious and it's lights out forever. MN: If you're on the water in a boat (canoe/kayak), you MUST have a PFD on board and handy...not locked away. Personally, I wear my PFD whenever I'm on the water...not just when the main engine is running...always done it that way.

Fishmas in January Raffle
Nope - I used PayPal and it logged my real name...though I did put a comment in the GFM with my screen-name.
