Bucktail Storage Tips
Back when I fly-fished and tied my own - I stored my bucktail in empty medicine bottles...kept it from being crushed and mangled.

I'm 42
Knew you were an old-fart - not that I'm that far behind you. Still a youngin'...if you got JB by 10, I got you by 10...and yes, getting older is everything you say it is. Wait another 10, then tell me how you feel. Welcome to the over-40 club...walkers are to your left, diapers to your right. Having those things always makes life better.

Winter struggle.
That explains it - we're a bit north of Green Bay here.

Wife Couldn't Understand
That's a hoard compared to my wife. Mascara and lip gloss - that's all she uses. Luckily, she understands my passion, so lets me get what I have the money for and doesn't even ask how many rigs or how much tackle I have...though compared to some here, I've got a pittance.

Medium Light Fast Rod Uses
When it's not being used for crappie, my ML/F is used for Ned Drop Shot Split Shot Neko Beetle Spins (ya, they work for bass too) Mepps (ditto) Light jigs with grubs or small swimbaits (Z-Man Slim SwimZ for example)

Running behind over there, pal - we already got ice-houses going up.

Post a photo a day!
So what's she going to do to Half-Dozen?

Using reels the "wrong way"
For those who palm a reel - I don't. I also cast left - retrieve right whether it's BC or Spin.

2021 Fishmas loot thread
Lucky dog - we got 'hard water' here....ice houses are even going up on the smaller bays of Tonka.

Ya, I kinda thought that getting you jigs and trailers wouldn't quite fly Good luck with those, Mike.

The Best Of The Old Ones
Hands down I'd have to say my old Mitchell 320. I caught just about everything I could with that reel for decades. From 8oz brook trout in a stream by my house to 25# striped bass fishing from the beaches on Cape Cod or in the Cape Cod Canal. Eventually couldn't find replacement parts - this was before the internet - so sadly tossed it.

12lb tatsu on a Tatula CT
It's about as low a diameter as I'd go on a BC (other than a BFS reel)...but it should work fine

My Safari browser has slowed up in the last few days (but it may just be my DSL service)
I'm on Firefox and I don't clear cookies, but I always clear cache when I purge history. Never caused an issue that I've noticed.

Tackle warehouse scam
There was a data breach and a lot of TW's customers have had their credit/debit card info 'stolen'. If you've bought from them...check your bank/credit card transactions for anything 'hokey'.

Berkley FireLine
I tried on my spinning reels not long after it first came out. It'd have to improve 1000% for me to even consider trying it again. I'll stick with 832 - and when I can afford it, Smackdown.

FedEX gives me heartburn.
We've never had an issue with FedEx. Course, we actually filed a form with them that lets them drop-off without needing a signature even if the sender wants one...the local FedEx office just 'attaches' that signed form. No needing to stick around, never had a damaged package...no problems. Maybe it's your local office or just your delivery person.

Tackle warehouse scam
Depends on the bank too. Since my bank 'flags' questionable transactions, they put them on hold (no money out of my account) then contact me...I don't have to worry about getting my money back...just review it and tell them either 'Yes, that's a valid purchase' or 'no, that's not something I bought'. If it's the latter, they refuse the transaction and that's the end...none of my money is tied up during that process.

Tackle warehouse scam
Same here - and I've actually had my bank hold transactions and check with me. VISA on the card - whether it's credit or debit - and you're covered...at least in my experience.

A New Moderator!
I've been there before - starting back in the old Use-Net days through Groups on FB up till 2015. I don't want the job anymore...so burned out on moderating.

Yo Zuri hybrid sensitivity?
And that is the primary reason I have YZH on my crank-rigs. Barely affects the running depth of the lure...if at all.

Your favorite movies with fishing
Shot in and around St. Paul...I actually spotted Ann a few times when I had errands to run in that area. (swoons).
