  1. NWS says 'possible' tornado - they're sending people to investigate and confirm.
  2. We hit 62 here...add in the rain this evening and most of the snow we got last week is gone. We were also getting gusts to 60. Tomorrow? Forecast high of 23....
  3. What I would do instead of paint Get several colors of a plastic worm dye and try mixing them to create new colors. JJ's Magic and Spike It are limited in their color selection Quick Coat has more colors - https://www.lurepartsonline.com/Quick-Coat-Worm-Dye-4oz So does Jann's Component System - https://www.jannsnetcraft.com/soft-plastic-baits/380551.aspx
  4. It'd have to be a paint that would remain very flexible when dry...otherwise the action would be totally lost and you end up with a 'hard bait'.
  5. It's different here - the public ramps are maintained by the DNR, just like the public trails. So part of the fishing license fee does go to the maintenance/rebuilding of the ramps.
  6. Other than the original bags, the only bags I've found that 'contain' Elaztech are either Plymor 4 mil or replacement laminated bags you can get here - https://barlowstackle.com/Laminated-Worm-Bags-P3705/ The Laminated bags are the same ones that the bait companies get...these are just with no printing. I never put any type of plastic in a box without it being in a proper bag.
  7. Truer word were never spoken. If you don't remember your 'fishing history', it's like you're picking up the rod and reel for the very first time.
  8. Yep... Don't worry though, you're in good company. I still occasionally fire up 'Ultimate Doom' on the PC when I have that feeling that I want to kill something/somebody...and I'm 62
  9. Ummm...Dean...the Fury is rated to 1oz actually...I've tossed 3/4oz cranks on mine without an issue...through you are correct that 5/8 is the sweet-spot.
  10. The original battery packs for Ryobi, Milwaukee and DeWalt were NiCads...I still have one for my Ryobi (bought in 2007). The newer packs are Lithium-Ion...not LiFePo...ya, I got a couple of those as well.
  11. Nope - 8# is as low as BG goes.
  12. 5 Rigs? Casting H/F MH/F MH/M-MF M/F Spinning ML/F
  13. Actually - it's my second XT-LE 30...but don't worry, it's gonna replace one of the two Avocet RZTs I still have in the main lineup. I was considering getting another one...you made my day with this, pal.
  14. @TcRoc - I'm assuming this is you given the return address DUDE! Above and beyond...this is fantastic, man. Thank you so very much
  15. Must of added that later...'Off' on my light switch puts it in auto mode...I could turn one click to running lights probably...might turn the heads off. My fog lights are a separate switch on the other side of the steering wheel...over by the radio/CD
  16. They may not be able to turn them off. My 2001 Silverado LS has auto-headlights...a sensor determines the ambient light level and turns the headlights on if it's below a certain point...and there's no off switch.
  17. When I was a kid, a friend and I bowfished carp. They were considered 'trash fish' in our local lake, and the city paid us $.10/pound to remove them...we just had to show a picture of our taken fish and they gave an estimate of the weight. One summer we split $50 between us. For a pair of 10 year olds in 1970, that was a lot of money.
  18. Seaguar Tatsu - or if your pocket isn't that deep, Seaguar InvizX
  19. Well, according to USPS, the recipient of my gifting should have had it in his mailbox today.
  20. Yep - I have a MH/MF crank rod (Fury 705CB) for my larger cranks, and ML/MF crank rod (Reflexions A) for all my finesse cranks - like Shad Rap 05, 06 & 07, Shallow Shad Rap 07...pretty much any crank 5/16oz or less...the Reflexions is rated 1/8 to 5/8 oz, so the 1/4-5/16oz lures are right about middle of it's range.
  21. There is a difference between Lithium-Ion and LiFePo. LiFePo batteries are more stable - they're not subject to the temperature instability, they stay cooler in high-heat conditions, and they're not subject to exploding due to rapid charging-discharging-short circuits. They're also non-toxic, so disposal is much easier Lithium-Ion batteries have a higher charge-weight ratio...more energy can be stored per kilogram of weight, so they're usually lighter for the same AH rating...which is why they're still used in small devices like phones, tablets, etc. More about the differences at https://blog.epectec.com/lithium-iron-phosphate-vs-lithium-ion-differences-and-advantages
  22. The NOCO Genius line IS rated for LiFePo batteries with a BMS system.
  23. This one https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS2-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W6B987F/ref=sr_1_5?crid=6C56SVWNML9U&keywords=noco+genius&qid=1639445354&s=automotive&sprefix=noco+%2Cautomotive%2C296&sr=1-5
  24. I just use straight 15# Tatsu on my regular jig rod. If I'm pitching jigs into heavy cabbage, then it's 50# 832...no leader...on the flipping stick.
