  1. Here's a pic of Bass Trek finished for your perusal
  2. New friend or lost family member?
  3. For crankbaits, I replace the circular split ring with an Owner Oval split ring - never noticed a problem. Jerkbaits get an Owner Teardrop split ring to let them waggle a bit more. Everything else is direct tie with the MK knot.
  4. I use my old-reliable MK knot for everything - I can't remember the last time I used a loop knot.

I use to golf regularly with my dad until his hip gave him issues and he couldn't go anymore. I think my handicap was 15 on an 18 hole/par 74 course I sold my clubs about 25 years ago.
  6. Not all shaky heads are noticeably flat on the front. The Owner Ultrahead is 'barely' flat on the front,

They don't even show them on their site - probably discontinued.

    Cannot emphasize this enough!
  9. Baker Builds has some good tutorials - all he does is lures
  10. Get the kit for $40 from Amazon - includes 3 different needle sizes. I have two of them and they perform well above the price point.
  11. Evening fishing was almost a bust - got one to keep from skunking, but it barely made a scorable weight 1/16oz tungsten shakey with a GP Magic Trick Worm
  12. It's just another panfish - goes good in the broiler alongside bluegill and crappie.
  13. Nora is still into current pop - what I call 'kiddie pop....I'd rather listen to Classical Me - Symphonic Metal out of Europe. (Delain, Epica, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Xandria are my mainstay groups). She' cringes when ever I put some on loud. Backup is classic rock...at least she can stand that. I know I'll get 'dinged' by a lot of people here - but I absolutely DETEST country. Like you with Rap, pal....fingernails on a chalkboard would be preferable. (runs and hides)

Mr Twister for single tails, Fat Albert Twin tails is the alternate.
  15. I like that my scale has a 'Tare' function, so it doesn't matter that the clamp weighs more than the hook did....hit the Tare button and I'm golden.
  16. I'm the opposite - week of chemo and 1/2 a week after everything has a slightly sour taste....even sweet, fresh fruit...so my appetite crashes because of that mainly.
  17. Leave them in the original bags. The binders are of a different plastic than the bait-bags. They'll absorb odors and if the plastic bait is Elaztech, they'll melt the binder 'pages'.
  18. X2 on the wacky. Another option is a weightless t-rigged worm or a weightless fluke lightly jerked across the tops of the weeds. And X3 on putting yourself a bit further from them.
  19. You take care of yourself, Katie - we'll hold down the fort and post what we can so you can sit back and heal up.
  20. Keeping the sun off is a necessity for me. Being a 'ginger', I turn into a lobster if I get too much sun. Sun-shirts, gloves, and a good hat are all requirements. Trying to find shade when shore fishing is also a must-do.
  21. I'll vouch for that - mine is a 2001 with the 5.3 and other than the oil leak that just started a few months ago, it's been rock-solid with 230k on it at present. Hope you get the issue taken care of soonest, @A-Jay - being without your 'prime' vehicle is a bummer.
  22. Na - he's been good to me for years. I let him park his trailers in my yard (his doesn't have the room), in exchange he mows my lawn and snow-blows me out in the winter...I love the barter system,
  23. I just dropped mine off at a local shop - I've had an oil leak that I've barely kept ahead of for a few months now, decided now was the time. So that's gonna be taken care of as well as Transmission tune-up Transaxle and differential fluid change AC recharge Full tune-up - new plugs, gas filter, air filter, etc. Neighbor is lending me his Audi A4 while my truck is in the shop
  24. I've got 2 more sessions before I reach that point...and some days it sucks. Appetite is all over the place - some days I can binge others I can barely shove something down without wanting to return it. I feel for you, Tommy - and hopefully we'll get through this and be strong like Lynn...she's been an inspiration and @A-Jay's reports on her keep me going some days.
