  1. I'm with the above comments. 3/8oz+ chatter/spinner/jig with trailer would go on a 4-power. Realize that the 3/8oz is just for the head...add in the hook, blades and skirt and it's more. My 3/8oz Z-Man original chatterbaits actually come in at around 1/2oz total. Add a 1/4oz trailer and you're right at the top end of a 3-power's range...not where you want to be.

  4. The Charger SE for 75-78 used the Cordoba body...mine had velour interior.

  6. Some brands prohibit TW from discounting 'early' so they still show at full price in the checkout. I had the same thing with my Diawa rod...showed full price right though clicking on 'Submit Order' - the order confirmation e-mail showed the discounted price...and it shows the same in 'Order History'.
  7. A lot is going to depend on two things... How many orders have come in. How many people are working the shipping area. TW is NOT a huge building, and they're in Cali. - so given the more stringent anti-Covid restrictions in place there - they probably don't have as many employees per order working as FO does...which is in Penn.
  8. Just received the tracking numbers for my TW order...they're moving along people, have a little patience.

  14. All I got is this... "Some items shipping directly from the manufacturer. Other items are invoiced but not shipped yet." No shipping date, no tracking number.
  15. I'm giving them until Monday. My order was accepted even earlier.
  16. If you're tossing 1oz lures - go with a 4-power Dobyns. Don't 'heave-ho' when setting treble lures...an easy sweep should be more than enough with good, sharp hooks.
  17. I got fed up with their backorder system last year. Two items backordered on BF, first one came back into stock only two weeks later. Beginning of March the second still wasn't in stock...and they don't ship backordered items until they're ALL in stock. Other places DID have that second item, so canceled it from TW and ordered it from someplace else. TW shipped the first item immediately. Now if something is out-of-stock when I want to order it - a Plano box this year - I remove it from my list and order it someplace else. In this case from Academy...and I get it tomorrow.
  18. Diawa Aird-X. I've used a 6'6" M/F the past couple years and it's really a good rod in that price range. Just upgrading this year to a Dobyns Fury.
  19. Last time I had to cancel something from TW, I did it through e-mail.
  20. Across the board except for a few brands that FIRMLY don't allow it. Same with my Diawa rod - no hint of the discount until the confirmation e-mail. Does show the discounted price in Order History.
  21. It won't show the discount in your cart or on the final page before you submit your order - but it SHOULD show up on your invoice.
  22. I had 40 in my cart - took about 2 minutes to get the e-mail
  23. I was up early this morning - sale was already going on. Order place and confirmation e-mail came in about 6:20 am.
  24. Ya - same with my Diawa rod. Up until I got the e-mail confirmation it showed as full price. The e-mail showed it at the discounted price.
  25. Echo this - spinner, chatter, jigs - all on the same rod for me.
