  1. I look at it more like hunting. You spend the money and take time to polish your skills in order to put something in the freezer and eventually on the table.
  2. (I know I'm gonna open a can of worms with this one) Exactly - where else can you find a sport where you spend thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours of time to catch something that you...throw back?
  3. T-Rigs are my bane I use them regularly - various weights, various worms/lizards/whatever, various places. Not once have I caught a fish on one.
  4. It can be quite entertaining - catching a 2# LMB on my UL rigged with a Ned with 4# YZH makes for some fun times.
  5. Kept inside, last forever on the filler-spool. I've got three rigs that I use YZH on...all different tests (4,10,12) but I get the 600yd spools when I'm running low. I'd add some KVD L&L to that - makes all the difference with YZH I'm still attached to Diawa, Pflueger and Mitchell...maybe on day I'll branch out to something else.
  6. I would have gone for the 600yd spool of the Hybrid for $1.40 more...but a nice little list none-the-less.
  7. Every door around here that can lock, gets locked...even when we're home Kind of like the last dog we had - 10 pound Shih-Tzu/Pomeranian cross.
  8. Map AND Sonar - find where they're hiding.
  9. I hunted rabbits with a 30# recurve - but that's the limit of my bowhunting. Grouse were taken with the 12 gauge semi-auto, deer with the 30-30 saddle-rifle.
  10. And of course you've tested this.... Wonder if my Fury will float with my Fuego on it? (Experiment time!!!)

  12. P: Lunkerhunt 'Popping' Frog
  13. Go do something nice for the wife. I'm already planning for our 30th which is next June.
  14. BPS Extreme Qualifier 3700 in camo - stores the same 5 boxes as the Guide series - $45 with 4-3700 boxes included...this is the one I have. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-extreme-qualifier-370-camo-tackle-bag-or-system
  15. When I was considering swimbaits, the two rods I was looking at were the Fury 795SB, and the Diawa DXSB. Even though I dropped the idea of swimbaits in my repertoire, I can say that the 795 would have been the one I picked.
  16. Bah - puny items.
  17. Long as you don't click off the 'Notify me of replies' button Alternately, you can follow a thread that you haven't posted in by clicking on the 'Follow' button near the top of the thread page.
  18. "Poor baby" 6pm local and it's already -11c Trade you.
  19. DT Series by Rapala
  20. Spinners, chatters and buzz I toss on my 7.3:1 President Crankbaits - even squarebills - go on the 6 speed...last year it was the Nitrous at 6.1:1, next year it'll be on the Fuego CT-H at 6.3:1
  21. There's so many variables - atmospheric pressure affects water pressure, light levels, sun angle, rain/drizzle...all those things can change and change the bass' behavior ^ This - combined with color selection...again based on the light levels at the depth you're fishing. This is why even the 'budget minded' of us carry LOTS of different lures.
  22. Get the 'empty' AA bag, then put the bags in 3607 boxes. That's how I do it.
  23. I know...I gotta do this too. Set up a plan, then stick to it.
  24. I have the 3600 Weekender bag and used it for plastics last year - all divided up into 3600 boxes for organization. With my latest purchases, I found that it wasn't big enough. So moved my hard-tackle to a BPS Extreme Qualifier 3700 and the plastics to a Cabelas Advanced Angler bag. the AA bag holds 6-3600 boxes in the main compartment and one more in the front zip pocket - lots more room than the Weekender which only holds 4-3600 boxes. Both the Weekender and the Advanced Angler bag have decent zippers. If you're planning on getting more plastics...I'd recommend the Advanced Angler bag.
  25. YOU have some catching up to do? I'm 60 as well and no where near the condition @A-Jayis in. I keep kidding the wife that my 'six-pack' is turning into a 'pony-keg'.
