you need to force yourself to fish that particualar lure (thats how i learned to fish soft plastics) and IMHO you cant have confidence in a lure before youve ever fished it because confidence is about knowing you can and if you never have how can to saw you know you can?

im more of a numbers guy, id rather have a one pounder and two 2 pounders than one 5 pounder but thats jusst me

YUM doesnt dry out but seems to loose some of the scent and salt after being out of the package,,,i keep all plastics in the bag,,better safe than sorry

for me i hold the rod at a very slight upward angle and pull it up to a 45.then bring it down to the slight angle again while reeling in the slack line,vary the speed between each time you raise the pole but for me i do it quikly about every 3-5 seconds but when its very cold or hot i fish it much slower.for setting the hook i wait until i can feel/see the fish take the worm and swim off with it before i set the hook,dont set it while the fish is just tapping it.cast near any vegitation like grass,bushes,tree, or sumurged branches,even in open water at times

ok either tommarow or early next week i will be buyng my new rod/reel. despite many people saying to pick the st croix avid over the premier im going with the premier (only 14,lack of money).its 6 feet, medium, lure wieght 1/4-5/8.i will be matching it up with an abu garcia cardinal 502 and spooling it up with sufix braid(dont know what # test yet).......the setup wll cost me about 160 and another 15 for line.......opinions?

i agree, i think ti is best to call the authorities,id be willing to bet that they wont punish them but give em a good talking to as alreay stated,plus the kids would get a better leasson if told by them rather than someone there own age,plus if they dont get anything from their talk hopfully it will scare any thought of spearing fish again right out of them

well its a popular debate whether or not a bass can live afte its been gill hooked or had damage done to the gills.well today i caught a dink (maybe 1.5) and while trying to get the hook out i notice its gill it ripped in two.at first i ws worried i didnt it until i realized my lure was at the edge of his mouth an there was no blood.as i looked at it more closely i came to the conclusion that this was an old injury and that the fish had made of just fine.i had always believed htey could live through a gill injury but im lad that i finally have some proof even tho i know that not ll will live but at least ts possible p.s couldnt get a picture(spent to much time removing hook)

while were o the subject of rock genres where would you put linkin park,the reason i ask is that alot of their music varies.every song is different (some are more heavy others are like rap) and now there new album is completely different than all of their other stuff and its got me confused.....maybe nu metal???

i overlooked this at he time but ibelieve it was my being stupid,the almonds that weighed dead on were in a plastic bag and it wouldnt add any wieght to the almonds.but with the energy stuff and chili there were in either a plastic or metal container so it would add weight to the net weight listed on the package.i didnt know at the time but the net weight is only the contents inside not the container :-[
