My legs are covered in scars from all the thorns, they are everywhere I fish. Especially the secluded spots deep in the woods!

Id get an Ugly stik striper or Catfish rod. With a Daiwa or Penn reel depending in your budget.

I have 2 daiwa reels and 1 shimano. My dad uses only shimanos. I have 2 dobyns rods and one Abu.

In the end you'll be happiest either the fuego or slx. I feel that the daiwa performs better, but the slx is more comfortable to palm.

Nope, I'm a Daiwa and shimano guy, I do have some abus too but only round reels. I have the same Tws reel you're talking about. And the Fuego is very similar, its essentially the same reel without the Tws. I also have the Shimano Slx and the fuego outcasts it with every bait I've tried.

The best reel under $100 is the Daiwa Fuego CT imo. It can be found for $60> on Ebay and Amazon from time to time. Two of the nicest $100 rods are the Dobyns Fury and the Shimano Slx.

I ended up ordering the Ugly Stik Sling backpack, its identical to the Spidereire one and I got for half the price. It should be here tomorrow, I'll let you guys know how it is!

The best baitcaster for the money is without a doubt the Daiwa Fuego ct, it usually retails for $100 but you can get it below $60 on Ebay and occasionally on Amazon.
