At the bow I’m looking to add a helix 12 with mega 360 to my current helix 10. I don’t really struggle to see the helix 10 but I really am not staring at it all that much. I’m wondering if you think there’s much value into a telescoping mount for both graphs? Maybe it’s split where the one stays low but that may be weird. Negativity nelly here. Giant LMB are becoming more and more common place. Yes, this is me complaining about FFS, in particular, the actual live variety. In PA, we’re seeing single afternoons with multiple 7+ lmb being caught. That is unheard of but when you get smaller lakes, find the structure and are able to rip around from one piece of structure to another, seeing quickly how these bass react to your swimbait you’re bound to catch them. That’s what’s happening. A wise man once said the greatest gift in fishing is the discovery. Unfortunately, discovery has gone out the window. Those anglers without the discovery will and have gotten bored quickly. But hey, garmins stock has tripled so we have that…

Somebody pray for the musky population. A musky fisherman used to be a diehard thing and it has been for a very long time. The fish of 10,000 casts. A good friend of mine and great angler recently decided to add musky fishing on top of bass. Within a few weeks he was going out and catching 5 musky in an afternoon with ffs. Everyone gets angry about the blaming of the angler and all the work they put in or didn’t. Sure, some of it’s that but what about the fishery? The fish ? What about the fact that now people that used to musky fish will have to cast 30,000 times to catch that fish because they have been changed ? That’s not the same as all the other sonar evolutions.

I’m largemouth fishing an eastern Ontario lake. A few weeks (start of August) ago the milfoil was laid over on the surface, creating healthy green mats that the fish were relating to. Now, it’s been hot hot. A lot of that milfoil turned either brown and much of that surface grass turned to yellow cheese. In some of the lake, even that yellow cheese is disappearing, presumably falling back into the lake. Some of the mats that do exist are brown, are larger and are still holding some fish but not the same amount. I hear that in the fall the bite is really focused on the clumps as the grass dies off but I thought that grass died off because of cool temps and we have had the opposite. A couple questions, is the yellow cheese (milfoil dying) a function of the hottest part of the summer and not the cooler? Where/what do the fish in that area (shallow, 5ft or less) relate to ?
