  1. Sv tw, the current one being sold
  2. After getting the wrong parts twice from plate to replace a side plate dropped in the lake I’ve decided to give up spending money on getting my alphas back working smh. In an attempt to make something useful im wondering if the alphas sv spool fits in many other daiwa reels ?
  3. Coming back to this. Above I meant it throws the chad shad decently well. I hate to say this but I might be more successful from a landing ratio Frogging in heavy cover on my 77hs than my 73xh’s. Sure, I prefer my rockstar setups on my 73xh rods for frogging just because of a little weight and balance but the 77h is a great frog rod. I’ve never felt underpowered and it throws it a mile. Also, I throw a frog a lot.
  4. GSM outdoors is a public traded company owned by platinum equity. As such, nothing with stop them from less quality for the consumer to drive an already abysmal stock. They will remove the Dobyns quality piece by piece without you even noticing.
  5. I’m wondering what the gammy 1/0 regular round bends weigh. I don’t want thr bait to sink faster
  6. The Spro Chad shad comes with gammy round bend 1/0s. I can’t seem to find what they weigh. I want to go to a stronger hook as I’m fishing these around thick grass edges, sometimes hydrilla in Florida. At the same time, I don’t want the bait to sink faster as it already sinks pretty fast. Does anybody know the gammy weights and have hook recommendations?
  7. Tachyon shaft can’t believe you lost the tachyon shaft. Such a unique beast.
  8. 19-current gen daiwa steez ct sv. Such a great frame
  9. Do you know what size it is ? I have to travel late notice with them in my carry on. My plan is take to them along with my Texas tackle split ring pliers. I assume tsa won’t care about the spit ring pliers as they aren’t sharp and tiny. My plan would be to take the hooks off and discard them if they tried to get me to dispose of them. What are your thoughts ?
  10. Thanks buddy, you are correct, at the same time, it’s silver 😞, was looking for black
  11. Do any of you know a close replacement or have daiwa paddle knobs that match these ? I’m looking for a 100mm black handle with these knobs. I used to get it from the tackle trap but daiwa discontinued this handle
  12. The CT is 100% noticeably smaller than both the 24 steez and the zillion. The roundness it retains makes it a great palming reel. The new ct ltd is a boost spool where as the previous versions are sv. The boost spool on the LTD has even more limited line capacity. Too limited for my liking. The current non limited ct with the sv spool will hold 50 yards of 50lb x8 or greater braid
  13. Let’s clarify, both the Sv and Ct are SV reels. Especially when considering all options that aren’t the new ct limited that has the sv boost spool. the Ct steezs all sit on the CT frame which is smaller than the standard steez sv, to me by quite a bit. The ct frame is fantastic imo. I don’t not have a standard sized sv to compare to a ct frame.
  14. Agree! While the new alphas and this tatulas are small they don’t palm like an egg due to the lack of roundness. I flip 50lb braid on mine with a 3/4 -1 ounce weight
  15. The ct frame is the best! It’s the regular ct frame. It’s smaller than both the a2 and sv, palms like budder
  16. It’s obvious you don’t fish a lot of grass My lineup looks like , heavy, heavy, more heavies, extra heavies, xx heavies, actual broom sticks
  17. What is the difference between the baby jack and the minimax?
  18. In terms of sensitivity. I own a casting model from all the lines you ask. 1. NRX Sensitivity 10 2.Steez Ags (bottom contact) Sensitivity 9 3. P5 Jig rod Sensitivity 8.5 4. Dobyns champ extreme Sensitivity 6.75
  19. This entire thing is a math question. Purchasing more expensive vs less, USA made vs not does not change the math. I'm seeking to understand why the chargers don't tell you what they pull in and what they are.
  20. Just a reminder that just about everything considered quality at a higher price is Chinese branded and marketed for profit margin by us companies
