  1. This is what I needed to know, I like having a magnum size once having a livewell full and was wanting some options to the five inch pitt boss. Five inch pitt boss is great but it’s 0.63oz and can be a workout to flip. The magnum bug might be a nice in between
  2. Does anybody have a weight of the magnum rage bug ?
  3. 7’3 heavy, put the spinning rod away on the grass lake 😂
  4. They don’t make the bb1 in 8 speed left so that’s out
  5. First picture current, second picture September of last year I found several in there punching it with this homemade long drop Tokyo rig with a 1.5 oz miller tungeston punching weight and a ichikawa ts3 flipping hooking. I still had to lov the bait into the air to get it to punch down through those heavy pads. All you could hear was a crash; set the hook and drag. There was probably 18 inches of water in there. The pads, if that is what they are, probably stick out of the water three feet, almost a foot above my boat edge when up against it. As stated above, 18 inches of water, 3 feet above the water of vertical vegetation

  7. Too thick to get a frog to touch much water. Map idea is a great idea
  8. I can drive my trolling motor through this maze, at least a hundred yards in, that means, it’s got at least a foot to 1.5 ft of water, what is this emergent vegetation? Do you think largemouth are in here? (They are in everything else in the lake) and how would you fish it? As heavy of a weight as needed to get in? nobody else around here goes into it last September I caught them in it in the attached picture where you can tell it’s more open and died off.
  9. I have the power pitch with a steez ct sv on it. Will it throw a five inch senko? Yeah, will it throw it will, definitely not.
  10. Rod doesn’t exist in my opinion, a 5 inch senko is too light for a rod that casts a magdraft. Now, a 6 inch senko is a much different story No
  11. I cut mine off and not looking to buy a full price new if I don’t have to.
  12. I also wonder if there’s any evidence that the new “hyper drive” tats will develop the slop the old ones did. My hunch is that they won’t
  13. I’ve read the search ones. I’m the one with the frog thread trying to cast 50lb braid further with a 5/8-1oz frog on a 7’7 h expride that has a slingshot tip. I too love the zillion however I hear the tatula 100 is also very smooth. That tatula 100 frame intrigues me. I usually fish expensive reels but I’m not interested in doing so just to do so. 1. Should I expect a zillion with a joist spool to cast further than the tatula 100 that holds more line? If so, why? 2. Is the frames of these reels just a housing? If it’s smooth it’s smooth and should I just buy the spool I want to drop in? 3. Who’s the repository or daiwa oem and aftermarket spools? What’s good for what? I hear Ali x has a lot too 4. For casting, should a reel like the bb1 cast much further than a tatula 100 on equal setups?
  14. Is there any reason to believe the zillion would cast further than the new tatula 100? I’m not a spool nerd but the new tatula 100 holds more line and doesn’t have a boost spool which to me feels like it should have less braking. Thoughts ? What spools are best to be plugged into the daiwas? It feels like I can buy just about any frame and place the spool in it since the breaking profile is all really spool related ?
  15. I agree with the other users comments on the scum frog and Bobby’s perfect being the best out of the box for softness and hook up ratio. Particularly the snag proof Bobby’s perfect. I also agree that the scrum frog launch frog while having great hook up ratio tends to not cast as far as the Bobby’s perfect and I too attribute that too the soft vinel like body that catches air. If you look closing at the snag proof frog you’ll see that the hook bend is upward at towards the point and in my opinion mimics bent hooks while still having the points landing against the body to not create snags
  16. Before & after hook bend.I like the bend even though it’s a little aggressive, I mistakenly broke a barb though on the other side think the broke barb will matter?
  17. My hook up ratio with a Bobby’s perfect frog is seriously like 90%. I noticed this hook points on the king daddy are way tight, gonna need to bend em
  18. Do you guys bend your hooks out and or boil your frogs at all?
  19. I recently caught this frog on a hollow body frog in Michigan. This toad is probably 8x the size of my Bobby’s perfect frog
  20. Do they even have frog fishing in pa. I’m from there and it’s ridiculous how little grass fishing there is
  21. I assume you’re talking about ygk upgrade #3 50lb? Are you okay using the bright green line to frog? Also, I don’t know that I would feel comfortable heavy frog fishing with 30-40lb equal line. What’s your thoughts?
  22. After using the google map measuring tool I've determined that I'm getting between 115-140ft of distance in my zillion/7'7 H expride combo with at 5/8oz frog before I get fluff up. With a perfect reel/rod & 1oz frog combo what do you believe is the max amount of feet attainment given zero wind implications?
  23. As far as the moon, for this application I have a few spots that are deeper with a good canopy that are out of reach on my zillion. How many extra feet is possible between an average zillion and the best possible setup with either a different reel or spool. I’d say it’d be another 12-20 yards, 36-60feet
  24. Agreed, as stated, I’m looking for the ultimate long distance frog setup, I have other frog setups for different situations. in this specific situation I’m talking 5/8-1oz frogs on a 7’7H expride (soft springy tip) combined with higher end 50lb braid. I’m looking for the most distance as possible to reach places my boat simple can’t be drug any further.
