  1. Ichickawa Mukade is amazing. They stay stuck with that twisted point.
  2. Costal 80 looks to be built on the same frame as the alphas sv, alphas can be bought cheaper than the costal. Obviously the alphas won’t have the line capacity as the costal. Is the alphas built better than the costal?
  3. First, it’s unreliable from a casting perspective, it doesn’t tune well and needs to be tweaked consistently, nothing like the met 16, or the majority of the other current gen Shimano mgl reels. Second, while the frame is solid, it feels a little soulless, almost too rigid. The zillion got it right like many of the other Shimano feels. I’d prefer a curado 150 over the current metanium
  4. Thank you. Do they make a deeper spool for the steez ct sv ? I absolutely hate the mentanium, maybe they fixed something with the 100 size spool? I have an alphas and while I like it the reel itself just doesn’t have the it feel. It’s almost like it’s too flat. IMO the steez ct sv is the perfect frame.
  5. Correct, the new steez. Im wondering if its smaller
  6. This brings me to another question. 1. Do they make a deep spool for the steez ct sv? 2. Let’s be extreme, say I fogged on this reel (steez ct sv)what would be the impact from a damage perspective ? Just replacing gears at some point ?
  7. I’ll admit that I really want a daiwa reel with zillion/steez performance with a frame that is more sized to the steez ct sv but with the line capacity of the 100 sized zillion. If anyone knows what that reel is, let me know. That brings me to this Admira that just popped up on jdm sites. With a little googling I found that the old Admira lacked magforce breaks and was a jigging reel. This new Admira says it has those breaks but isn’t a bass reel. What is different ? https://www.daiwa.com/jp/product/2mlrv8x
  8. Left is first, I love it! Do we think it’s bigger or smaller than the zillion ?
  9. do we know when it’s going on sale or the specs?
  10. Lots of discussion right not about solid state batteries in vehicles. I also believe I saw them starting to come to high end small electronics. Will this tech be coming to trolling motor batteries anytime soon?
  11. Well here’s kind of my barrier to entry with at least tungsten weights. If I’m gonna buy tungsten, which I am, it should be ideally no chip, must have the weight printed/engraved and in this case apparently have a swiveling open eye head. There’s a ton of weights but only a handful meet this criterial from what I saw. The Nako weights seem to also fit the bill. https://nakoshop.com/products/tungsten-free-rig-skinny-drop-shot-weights it’s he cool if they went higher in weight
  12. I haven’t seen swiveling ringed weights, that’s a thing?
  13. What weights do you guys love and who has the best price? Do you throw up to 3/4 and if so for what depth?
  14. I see many videos of people just putting the line through the weight and not using a swivel. The swivel is the deal? The juice?
  15. I’ve been fishing a big worm for the past two years on mainly an unpegged 1/2 ounce tungsten flipping weight with good success. Does the free rig provide much difference with the eyelet ?
  16. Maybe the lowest stretch of lines tested. Not lower stretch than say shooter
  17. Has anybody fished both of these models? I’ve fished the 893 and currently have the power pitch. Some say the 873c is as powerful but I find that hard to believe. I have no problem frogging on my power pitch but wouldn’t think the 873c had that type of power. my guesses are NRX 873C is slightly less powerful, not to be used as a frog rod NRX is provably slightly more sensitive steez is just a few tenths of an ounce heavier i theww a 3/4 Texas rigged creature bait on my power pitch. It was still part of the sweet spot but probably wouldn’t want to throw more than 1oz total package thoughts ?
  18. Where did you get the $9 gold label, what test is it?
