  1. Erbody says the gcx is trash. I did find the alx zolo Mitch though.
  2. Thanks Scott, where abouts do you fish? South? Exactly
  3. Thanks man. I guess I didn’t use the word punching because I too have punched a bit and always call that punch a matt that typically has water under it but that’s not normally punching into 8-10ft of water undwrneath
  4. Submerged milfoil. 8-14ft with stalks all the way to the surface where there is a canopy in the bottom 1ft. All milfoil has this bottom open canopy
  5. Does anybody have any recommendations? Asking for a buddy. My conquest and other buddies 783c mbrs are fantastic but another buddy was looking for something more Tatula cork pricing. Also, it seems like they raised the pricing and went to split (womp womp) grips on the Tatula and they don’t have something near that short
  6. Thank you!!! Thanks Glenn!
  7. In a post I just made I asked about pitching a big weight in deep milfoil looking for schools. I’m wondering if anybody here is good at reading maps and could help me iffnetify some key summer spots to start “dropping grass

  9. I’m talking about what Seth feider and Matt heron talk about on bass university. This is where they are flipping a big weight, generally 3/4-1.5oz in deeper grassy particularly milfoil. They are looking for schools and once found they can sit there and catch a pile. Does anybody do it and is it reliable if you put in the time? What have you found success in?
  10. 5-6 inch senko. I typically fish braid to 16-18lb leader in Ontario lakes with lots of milfoil. I was considering keeping a spare spool for straight 10-12lb fluorocarbon to use at times when the bite gets tough. This is all on casting gear. the rod id use the 10-12lb is an old kistler 69mh that is pretty parabolic and an alphas sv tw. Do you think its worth having the light straight fluorocarbon and if so what like would you recommend? Can 10lb work on a casting reel?
  11. I do both but yes I’ll likely snell at 1oz & greater
  12. Does anyone use a tungsten bead when flipping with 3/4 oz to 1.5 oz weights, particularly in deep milfoil? I typically use beads on lighter Texas rigs to add sound, but I’m curious if that extra noise could help in heavy grass—or if it might actually catch more vegetation. The main reason I’m asking is that I’m running low on 1.5 oz flipping weights. I’m thinking about adding a heavy tungsten bead under a 1.25 oz weight to bring it closer to 1.5 oz without having to buy more 1.5s. What are your thoughts on this approach? Would love to hear any experiences or opinions.
  13. I’ve got 14 daiwa reels that I’ve never cleaned or even opened. They are all between 2-8 years old. Work like new
  14. Pick up a loomis 783c, a daiwa alphas sv tw, shallow spool version is even better and tie on a 6 inch whacky rigged senko. You’ll be a skipping machine
  15. So the sale is 10% for everything ? Does it show in cart ?
  16. My power pitch is my absolute favorite jig & Texas rig rod. I’ve fished it along the NRX 873Crr + and I prefer my power pitch. It will pitch down to 1/4 and I find it enjoyable to pitch a 3/4 ounce Texas rig into grass. It can do it all and weighs nothing. I also enjoy a tiny reel on it for flipping and pitching. Steez ct sv or alphas sv style frames (true 70 size frames) are great and the combo weighs under 10oz!
  17. Send it! This whole brass gears and heavy reels are required is regurgitating reel company portfolio expansion sales bs. Sure , are there some differences here and there ? Yeah. Most of which none of us will see
  18. Can try some zapu float board
  19. My speo chad shads do not sink like a rock at all
  20. Correct I agree and appreciate. I’ve spent a bunch of time on this
