  1. A friend of mine started washing his truck. Not long after that he started washing his boat. It's a slippery slope once you start washing stuff. You guys need to be careful.
  2. It’s possible to fake the email address that an email was sent from. There are also ways for email service providers to prevent this. Most of them don’t. It’s complicated.
  3. It's probably someone trying to scam you. Go to Setting on your phone then tap on you Apple ID at the top of the screen. Scroll down and you should see a list of devices that are using your Apple ID. You should see your phone and possible some previous phones you've owned and devices of other family members that are using your Apple ID to buy stuff. If you see a device you do not recognize then you should be concerned. You can tap on the device and on the next screen you have the option to remove it from your account. A legit email from Apple is sent from noreply@email.apple.com. A scammer would send you a email hoping you would use the link in the email to change your password. If you think you did this then you need to change your password right now at https://appleid.apple.com
  4. How are you getting these notifications? Text, email, iPhone popup notification? Also, are you changing your Apple ID password or the password you use to log into your phone?
  5. Very nice. I hope you realize that if you start catching a lot of fish on it you're gonna be looking for old Bagley Balsa Bs so you can make more.
  6. I don't see how tournaments could get any more popular around here unless they build more ramps to support them. It's been that way for 20 - 30 years and people have been predicting doom and gloom the whole time. After all those tournaments we still have very healthy fisheries. I just don't see any evidence that tournament fishing is harming fisheries. At least not in Tennessee. People need to understand this quote from @jbsoonerfan's link from the Oklahoma DWR. "Using data from more than 100 Oklahoma lakes, fisheries biologists have found that on average, 82 percent of largemouth bass in Oklahoma lakes are shorter than 16 inches. While reduced harvest of large bass is beneficial, harvesting bass under 16 inches may improve some fisheries by reducing competition among bass, so individuals grow faster and larger." HARVESTING IS ESSENTIAL TO THE HEALTH OF SOME FISHERIES!!
  7. Very interesting. Catching and releasing small bass is usually bad for the fishery. Catching and releasing large fish is good for the fishery. Giving tournament anglers a way to keep larger fish until the weight in is a great idea if implemented correctly.
  8. I'm sure Kelly had a sizable buyout at ND which LSU will also be paying. It's only money.
  9. My graph would look similar on all things fishing related. Basically, every year I gain a better understanding of how stupid I am.
  10. How to get your lure out of a tree. I've been practicing this for 50 years.
  11. I assume you're considering Sewanee (aka The University of The South) since that's the only college I'm aware of near Winchester unless you're talking graduate school at UTSI. Sewanee is a very cool school with 13,000 acre campus in a very nice area. I think there are even some lakes on campus that can be fished.
  12. We have our own wild winter adventures in the south. It’s call driving when there’s a 1/4 inch of snow on the road.
  13. I look forward to eating a big Thanksgiving meal then settling into my recliner, turning on a football game, and sleeping through the whole thing. ?
  14. Thanks for the tip. I can confirm Shimano is discounted and Humminbird is not.
  15. Yes this is what I saw when I placed an order earlier. No discounts until the item is in the cart. Someone said here that Shimano products are discounted in the cart even thought they are on the exclusion list. I put one in my cart just to test it and it did not show a discount.
  16. I keep hearing this but I have not seen it. I don't see any discounts until it's in the cart and I have yet to see any product on the exclusion list that is discounted in the cart. Can someone give an example of a product on the exclusion list that is discounted in the cart?
  17. Many major brands are excluded, including Abu Garcia. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/saleexclusions.html
  18. I placed an order for MEGA Live a while back on Tacklewarehouse. When I check the status on the order they're still saying they expect to ship December 1st. I'm starting to think it could happen. I wouldn't bet on it but it could happen...maybe.
  19. Are we allowed to bet on how long this thread will last before getting locked?
  20. I cooked a turkey yesterday morning for our first Thanksgiving gathering at noon. It was a success. The key to a moist turkey is not to over cook. I'm always a little scared that I might under cook it. This clip from Seinfeld always comes to mind.
  21. In the places I've fished in Tennessee and north Alabama, May and June are the easiest times to find fish on water I don't know very well. If I'm going to try a new place, I like to do it in those months. If you're planning to hire a guide then you don't have to worry about finding fish.
  22. Be sure to give us an update.
  23. I had an extra cup of caffeine and thought a little more about this. I like the idea of trying to turn the pipe. I’d use a pipe wrench. If it won’t budge then put a pipe over the wrench to make the handle longer to get more leverage.
  24. I love to cook also. One rule that I learned the hard way. I never try something new when cooking for a group. Especially if you’re talking about the main course. I stick to what has worked for me in the past. I experiment when I’m cooking for me and the wife.
