  1. How well has it held up against rain and water?
  2. Has anyone used one of these, if so how accurate are they and what are the pros vs cons. Thanks. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Rapala_Touch_Screen_Tournament_Scale_15lb/descpage-RTDS.html?from=Google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzb-r6KDd4wIVP__jBx0VeQ7TEAQYASABEgJvP_D_BwE
  3. well luckily I put gradual pressure on the rod and didnt try and push its limits. I have a scale but its junk so I was trying to use a new method.
  4. So I have a baitcasting rod with 40lb braid. And I used 5lb weight to set the drag. Load up the rod with the weights just where I am able to barely lift it and the drag slips. I am keeping the angle at 90 degrees. Is this an acceptable way to do it or can doing this break the rod?
  5. Yeah I wasn’t thinking too much was kind of in the moment thought it was a huge bass.
  6. He might have even been 8lbs he was big, I did use the but end I just feel like I should have played him more. And he didn’t spool me but towards the end he was pulling a bit of drag.
  7. So I went bass fishing yesterday and hooked into a 5-8lb blue channel catfish. Thought it was a bass until I noticed how he was dead weight and kept staying near the bottom. I was running 40lb braid, drag was tight but enough for him to pull a bit of drag. I kind of horsed him in kept a lot of pressure on the rod. Mh casting rod. How much pressure is too much. Can doing this ruin a fishing rod or does it take much more than that?
  8. Perfect just what I need, Thanks

  11. Whats a good box to put my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits in. I would like something thats basically deep to hold them without any dividers in it. I also don't want a huge box, I want to be able to fit it inside my backpack.
  12. Sure was, didn’t expect it ether.
  13. Today was pretty rainy and cloudy. Past two days were 95-100 plus degrees. Went out today in the morning fished a jig had a couple bites but nothing big. Decided to try a topwater toad buzzbait out in the rain earlier and landed two solid hogs. First one being the biggest. Now I can say I’ve caught a bass on a topwater lure. ?
  14. Can I use one of these on a 3/8oz chatterbait? It’s a bit thick in the body. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Keitech_Swing_Impact_FAT_Swimbait/descpage-KSIF.html

  20. Can I use a baby brush hog on a offset worm hook? And if so would a size 4/0 be big enough?
  21. When fishing with braid does it really require a hard hookset or can you get away with a light hookset since there is no stretch?
  22. I need to replace the fishing tip guide on my spinning rod. Is there a way to tell which size I need? I have a lews Mach speed stick https://www.lews.com/rods/mach
