That’s a sweet setup.

I got mine a month ago from there own site. Had it in 3 or 4 days. Haven’t caught anything yet with it.

I’ve been using zman Spinnerbaits for two seasons now. I really like them. The blades spin no matter what. The blue gill one has produced the best so far.

I’ve backlashed my currado dc more then that. Loosen that puppy some. Also congrats on the fish on home made lure.

I haven’t had any trouble with knots. That said I’m not a fan either, doesn’t seem to cast as well.

Great post, and thoughtfully written. Your experience on the water and more then general knowledge on all things gear related is really something. It shows the true passion you had for your sport. On a side note you must be grinding your teeth reading the some of The stuff, some us right.

It’s a special moment, when you’ve done some reading, and watched some videos. Then bought a couple quality jigs. Then finally Made that cast to the lay down, tried to keep a semi slack line. Remained focused the hole time. All of a sudden that thunk rings through your hole body. Yeah, that was a cool day.

Very cool set up. I don’t know much about either. Is that a big bait deal.

Did well with the rat the other day. So I figured I’d get a spare and a couple others. I guess this means I have six now lol.

The pics above where my fist two fish on the 795. What a blast it was to throw the 50 on it. It cast it really well, and also really loads up once there hooked. The 50 attracted a few followers as well. I had so much fun with it yesterday I ordered another morning dawn for a spare, a brown 50 for a place I go with some musk rats, and a morning dawn in the 40 size. My first outing with the 795 and the rat were great. Now it’s all I can think about.

Got a couple on the 50 in morning dawn. There only about two pounds, but boy do they absolutely hammer it.

I have allot of decent ponds and small lakes near me. Something like this I can literally throw in the back of my work van and go. Allot of my fishing is a couple hours at a time. So the grab and go is important. I think I’m finding this is the happy medium between having some space for some gear, ease of loading and launching quickly. As well as being a quality product. Would love to hear what you guys think. The weight is incorrect. It weighs 50 something pounds.

I was talking about the abu combo. On a medium heavy rod you can go down to a weightless senco easily with the currado. Not that it is real light. But how light are you trying to go on your mh rod.

The carbonlite 2.0 rods are great if you want to step up the reel. Get the currado k combo with the carbonlite, from bass pro it’s $269. You can do just about anything with it.

I have a carbonlite mh and m. I really like them. I throw 3/16 on the m. The m is my new favorite rod, it’s light and plenty sensitive. The mh was my only casting rod for a while and I never felt like was missing anything.
