  1. That one has been the best for me in all water colors.
  2. I use mine for 1/2 Spinnerbaits and love it. I’ve used it for chatter baits also. Almost never loose a Spinnerbait fish with it.
  3. Empty night crawler containers and drink bottles/cans have to be number one. Most of the time I bring a grocery store bag and fill it up on my way out. I haven’t had that problem lately though, every time I drive by 5 places there is already 10 people at every spot. So I drive back home. hashtag, go back to work. If your not working cause of the virus. Can you please fish in the morning. So the rest of us that still have to work, can fish in the afternoon when we get out.
  4. Me also, went a few times with parents as a kid. Discovered the fishing debt last year. Cool place.
  5. Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I know I’m gonna pay full retail plus tax. I’m headed there so if I like them I’m just gonna buy them. I would much rather pay a little more, and support the local economy. If $20 means I take it home right now. That’s fine.
  6. Never had any Diawa gear. So I’m looking to try some out. There’s a hole in my arsenal that this rod will fill nicely. My question is about the reel. I was gonna use this rod for my bigger jigs and some of my 1- 1-1/4 ounce baits. Is the tat sv good with that, everything I’ve read so far says how good it is with lighter baits. Love to hear your opinions. Thanks.
  7. I have the 6.2, And have used it for a few different things. Imo it excels with moving baits. I like it best for Spinnerbaits. I think anything faster wont slow roll them the way I like. Again in my opinion, it goes plenty fast enough for most moving baits.
  8. A nice light 6’8” m/f. For light plastics. Chronach mgl all the way.
  9. I’m no engineer. But I would think that since the thicker blanks are significantly thicker at the base as opposed to the tip. That it would put the heavier end of the blank closer to your hand, improving balance and minimizing the weight difference. opposed to skinnier blanks that are allot more uniform from one end to the other. Giving the impression of tip heaviness at length. again just my thoughts. Could be totally wrong.
  10. I understand the point. But the weights Difference is so minimal. In the rods we’re talking about. It’s like saying you can’t walk down the street cause you have .50 in change in your pocket. That’s about the weight difference. Do you put one quarter in each pocket so you stay better balanced. again not trying to be rude. But we’re talking about less weight then the shakey head with a finess worm. That might end up getting thrown on this rod.
  11. I like thicker blanks with a thicker handle. I have big hands and it just feels better. I also swing a hammer all day, and a 8 pound nail gun. Along with a 8 pound skill saw and 8 pound sledge hammer. The talk about a rod difference of 3.7 or 4 ounces seems absolutely silly to me. Even if it’s on a tip up situation lol. Sorry if this sounds rude. I just don’t see how any 7’ rod can be to heavy to use all day. At 4 ounces.
  12. That’s some sweet gear dude. How do you like the bantam on the expride. Was thinking of putting that together this winter.

I’ve never caught a frog fish. no lol.
  14. I have 3 of the 2.0’s. I really like them.
  15. Nice stuff everyone.
  16. If you just want something new. Grab a dobyns furry 705cb with a currado dc. Use it for cranks and it’s great with Spinnerbaits. It’s a really fun setup since you don’t really need anything.
  17. Yeah, your pics are fantastic.
  18. Awesome man, I’m excited for you. Really nice gear you got to. While your in the process of experimenting don’t forget to switch the reels and rods around. Definitely try the dc on the cranking stick. Have fun you have a great weekend ahead of you.
  19. I would do 20, it’s easier to tie then 10 or 15 if you have big hands. 20 would probably do better on a mh rod.
  20. 6’6” is the sweet spot for beating the bank.
  21. That Swimbait business is no joke.
  22. What I’m getting out of this is, getting old is not for the week. I’m 41 and self employed also. I can adjust my schedule a little hear and there when it works out. what I find lately when I leave work early to go fishing. Is a ton of people at every available piece of shoreline. so now that I think about it. I’ve worked the last 26 days or so in a row, with several nights Mixed in. Not enough family time and probably have 3 or so hours of fishing broken up in that time. the fishing is so over pressured right now it’s almost not worth going. well there’s my half a rant.
