  1. Ehh, danglin Is fun word. Is a fun word.
  2. I caught one fish with it. Right after I made a terrible cast into the bushes. It was just dangling there. Go figure.
  3. Boy, that’s how they make that difficult.
  4. On a 7’-2” heavy for 3/8+ baits. I don’t think there’s anything not to like.
  5. Not going to lie, that’s a concern of mine also. Not so much it breaking. But wanting 9 Megabass rods after.
  6. Would like to know what you think of it after some use.
  7. The vid from hookup tackle says it’s more of a regular taper from Megabass. He bends and talks about how soft the tip is. Making it rather versatile. Definitely not trying to argue with you guys that had this model and n other line. I have no experience with any of them. Wonder if it was something that was addressed during the new design process. I’m gonna be doing some fishing from a kayak this season. I was thinking the shorter handle might be better for that. Again thanks for all the help and info. Definitely making me think hard about it.
  8. Well this rained on my parade. Even though you guys are talking about a different line up. Being a new design I still might go for it. Thanks for the info guys.
  9. I believe the new levante has a very soft tip going to a firm mid section. From the video I watched.
  10. Anybody grab one yet. Watched the hookup tackle video on the new release of them. They seem pretty sweet for the money. This rod seems perfect to fill a hole in my arsenal. Want it for my bigger 1/2 ounce jigs and swim jigs. Bigger spinnerbaits and 6 inch mag drafts and the larger paddle tails. Would love to hear any first hand thoughts on them. I understand it just came out and time with them would be limited. Thanks.
  11. I think most people would be real surprised if you measured and showed them how far 25 yards really is. All of a sudden 90% of your whole fishing experience fits inside it.

I should have a enough open water to cast in by tomorrow afternoon. I won’t catch anything. I just want to stand in the sun and swim a couple of baits.
  13. When the mood arises. This is a clear water killer.
  14. Agree with this big time. I grabbed a cheap one just to try. It caught some fish, and I enjoyed throwing it. It’s a very interactive bait. Not quite just chuck and wind. I liked it enough to grab a couple good quality baits. Boom a whole different world then the cheap ones. The difference in what you can do with them and how you can fish them, are not even close. A quality spinnerbait has become a serious weapon of choice, that literally catches fish on every outing. Yeah, I like spinnerbaits.
  15. Blue Gill has worked best for me. Followed by spot remover.
  16. Should be on sale for $100 right now. Really can’t beat that. If they have one.
  17. I don’t have enough experience with allot of other rods to start comparing their fastness to each other. @Eric26 description was good. Along with finesse jigs, 3.8 Swimbaits on appropriate heads. It’s fantastic for 1/8-3/16 t rig with a rage craw. Strap on a decent reel that can throw light ish baits half decent. Some 30 pound power pro and you are good to go. you’re making me want another one. Lol.
  18. I like to do small pick ups like that over the winter. Load up the grandson and just take the ride to bass pro to get out of the house. We walk around the store. He throws stuff in the cart, I put some back. Lol. We grab a few things and talk fishing all the way home. It’s a fun afternoon, and it’s cool to see him get excited over something fishing related.
  19. I don’t have the 703, but I do have the fury 705 cb. I also have the med fast carbonlite 2.0. Casting rod. I like the way the carbonlite feels in my hand a little better. You can do allot of stuff with that carbonlite. It’s a fantastic light plastics rod. From 1/8 trigs on up to 1/2-5/8 top water, 3/8 spinnerbait. If you like your square bills on that kind of rod it’s sweet. It’s my favorite rod right now. If I’m only taking one rod that’s the one I bring.
  20. One Moe for sharpen the hooks. More lol
  21. Don’t laugh but this and a bag of assorted soft plastic is all I carry to walk the bank. They both fit in my pockets. It ends up being 2 through 4 options for up to four rods. About 8 or so total bait options. I try to only bring three rods but then can’t decide on the third so end up with four. A pair of pliers and scale in my other pocket and it’s of to the races. When I used a backpack I always ended up with to much in it. This has been great. I have a small tackle bag of supplies in the van and I load this up for what I want to do at the time. It was game changing to just have a few things in my pocket. If I can’t catch anything with 8 bait options I’m probably not gonna with 48 bait options.
  22. Lol must be winter. I found this to amusing.
