  1. I’m glad you posted this. I hope everyone reads it twice. There is allot going on.
  2. I’ve used the bass one and the one that looks like a fired up gill. They worked so I didn’t buy any others. As I can get carried away.
  3. Damm it, what size hooks am I gonna need for those.
  4. When I got my Swimbait rod I threw 65 pound braid on my currado k. So I could play with it while I waited for my tranx to come in. After the tranx came in and I switched the currado back. I didn’t bother to change out the braid it handles it just fine. I throw spinnerbaits, jigs, swimjigs 1/4 3/8 Texas rigs anything really, on it. No troubles at at all. If I’m not mistaken the 65 pound braid is 17ish mono equivalent. Which is right in its wheelhouse. Your 50 should be the same, or a touch better. Just reread your post. It was a sound you didn’t like. The heavier braid does seem to make more noise on the hookset.
  5. Pretty sharp looking setup.
  6. Glad you mentioned the bayou. I talked to someone at falcon also. I was under the impression that it was a much stiffer rod then the eye crosser. I’m gonna use it as a jig rod, I don’t really frog at all. I’ll have to give them a call back sometime. Thanks for the info. Thanks for all the replies everyone. I’m really enjoying this rod. Definitely gonna try some more.
  7. The handle does feel a little small. The sensitivity is taking a little getting used to. didn’t get weight or length, I would guess 4-4-1/2. Pretty sure I’m gonna go with the eye crosser next time.Supposed to be the same as the Amistad only shorter. I wish it came in the expert line up. that’s good to know thanks. seems to have plenty of power also. Thanks for all the replies.
  8. Mine came in on Sunday. I have 5 or 6 hours time in with it now. I’m finding it to be a interesting rod. It’s a heavy power, but only labeled up to 3/4’s. I think it can go a bit more depending on what bait your throwing. I’m finding it pretty versatile. It’s great with 1/2 ounce spinner baits. Absolutely chucks a 5/16 swimjig with 3.8 rage swimmer. Just for fun I tied on a 3/8’s jig yesterday. Handled it perfectly in light cover. It’s quite sensitive dragging bottom for a mod/fast rod. It feels pretty fast right up until under load, then it bends a bit deeper. I’m really enjoying so far. By far the most sensitive rod I own ( not that I have to many). I called falcon to ask a few ?’s when I was looking into the rod and they great to talk to over the phone. Overall great experience with falcon so far. Definitely try them again on my next rod purchase. This is my inexperienced first impression so far. Looking forward to hearing what others think of this rod. First fish with it.
  9. I used the fury 705 cb for spinnerbaits for two seasons. It was great. Had allot of fun with it. There is enough power to shake it out of moderate grass. Barely ever lost a spinnerbait fish on that rod. Highly recommend it for that.
  10. Really, just curious what kind of job we’re you trying to get from them. Employee discount would be sweet. Lol.
  11. New spinnerbait/swim jig rod came in today. Another poster said it right when they said a clean and simple yet classy build. I like it. Ordered from ***. 48 hours exactly. from the time I ordered to at my door, with the $5.99 3-5 day delivery. I’m Impressed. Gonna take it out this afternoon. Feels like it’s a touch on the faster side of moderate fast. That I like. Looking forward to taking it out.
  12. Welcome, you should like it here.
  13. You can also put them in the rod tube the that they get shipped to you in. You can fit about 4 of them in it.
  14. Good video, great tips.
  15. They are fairly durable, swim good at slow speeds and are easily accessible and they get bit. I use them mostly now because every time I end up at a wall mart they have them and I grab a few for cheap money.
  16. It seems most of you guys prefer the expert line over the Cara. I was thinking the head turner for a new spinnerbait rod.
  17. I’ve been struggling on those days. This time of year they usually come right after a wicked cold front.
  18. That’s a monster, good for you. Nice job.
  19. Bet that felt good, congrats.
  20. Sweet, I was looking for some at bass pro yesterday. Shelves were bare. It was terrible. They didn’t have anything I went there for so I only spent $100. Lol.
  21. Nice can’t wait to see the pic.
