  1. Method 3, is the natural progression for anyone Just starting out with any casting reel. Mine is on number 2 and cast control is much looser then that. The bait drops freely to the ground. Just like any other reel, take it out and play with it. You’ll work it out. The directions are a starting point.
  2. Yeah, I find in smaller ponds they tend to be sharper. Like said above from eating mostly fish.
  3. Just put one one, in the size range and have some fun. When you need to re spool try a different one. More then likely the first one you try will be fine. Go 15 it’s easier to hold. If you have big hands go 20. I use 20 it seems easier for me to tie. Less nots to start off with on the higher test and you want to have fun not get frustrated. You can always drop down next time. We’ll see you next month when your trying to pick out your next rod and reel. Lol.
  4. No joke I almost ran out of hooks this year. All the stocking up I did over the winter, a hook never crossed my mind. Not a package in any local store either.
  5. Nothing fun in this haul. Was running low on hooks and stick baits. Had a couple gift cards so grabbed a few more things.
  6. You think he would have just used a hook for the video.
  7. I got a really nice Swimbait for Christmas. I didn’t have anything to throw it on. That sweet little gift cost me $700.
  8. It’s been two days what did you order.
  9. This is what happens after you catch a few with them.
  10. Lol, caught me off guard with one. Huge fan myself.
  11. The two Walmart’s by me are always a sad story. Always low end stuff.
  12. Thanks, that’s where I was thinking of starting
  13. Jumped in on a trip with a few guys. I’ve never been there. Where gonna have a few boats, and staying close to where the bridge goes over it. I looked on the topo map and it’s a deep lake. There’s a smaller shallower area in the back side of it. Probably try that first. Any tips, hints or baits to try out would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Never heard of such a thing.
  15. Cool, thanks. 7’2” h expride and bantam it is for jigs next season.
  16. Is the expride a better jig rod then the adrena.
  17. Boy a medium+ sounds just about perfect for allot of things.
  18. The post above you said he fished it.
  19. I thought setting 2 was for braid? You found 3 better? I thought 3 was for flouro, I’ll have try it.
  20. I have the Dc you should be able to cast 1/8 with a 3/0 hook and a rage craw just fine. I agree something is just not right. Mono I believe is setting 3 (check the manual). Spool tension so the bait falls real slow, I mean real slow. Did they spool it up with line for you. You need to make sure the line is nice and tight. The reel is not backlash proof but it’s very user friendly. The settings on the side are for line types. Put a Texas rigged weightless senco on and try that. It’s very aerodynamic and should go quite a ways. or a 1/2 inch nut, and go in a field and play with it for a while. Good luck and remember to have some fun.
  21. I can’t wait for the tranx mgl to come out, for my lighter Swimbaits
  22. Can’t wait to hear what you guys think of them. Was gonna get a expride for this years add on. With these being revamped they got my attention.
