I went to lake Ida 2 weeks ago with another BR member. He showed me a killer bait for peacock bass. Use a white/silver blade spinner and cast out into the deep water at the intersection of the canal that runs west from the boat launch. There is a sand bar there. Cast along parallel with the drop off. He caught 2 peacock and lost a much bigger one at the boat. Hope it helps. Good luck

If the motor is excellent, then I would say $1500 - $2000 There are alot of cash strapped owners making deals out there because of the economy.

I worked in the plastic's industry. My degree helped me land several management jobs over the years. At times, I was working 10-12 hour days, and getting phone calls at night. The pay was good, but those jobs have dried up and went to china and mexico. The propects are not as bright for college grads with the economy tanked. I have started a service company. It is growing slowly, and I am hopefuthat the economy will recover in 3.5 more years.

Thanks for the tip. It looks so easy on the before and after, I will give it a try. The glass along to top of the sides is faded bad but the glass is not pitted. There is a little bit of pitting on the bow. If Vertiglass doesnt work, I will be sanding and compounding until it looks its best. It will never look brand new, but I want some sparkle and shine. The glass in the interior portions should clean up real good. Thanks again ArcticCat500!

Krzkev(Kevin) caught a real nice peacock bass (4#) and had bigger one on that he lost next to the boat. They were hitting the spinners. We each caught several small bass, some slab bluegills & cichlids and a warmouth. A pretty good day.

Change of plans. Since there is not too much interest in LOX, krzkev and I have decided to go to lake Ida instead. We will be there at first light if anyone else is interested. Sorry for the last minute changes.

Thanks Hawk. I am just about 1/2 way finished painting the trailer after spending a couple hours with wire wheel/drill. The trailer looks ALOT better now. Its amazing what a coat of paint can do.

Krekev and I will be fishing out of the LOX Lee's road ramp sunday morning at sunrise. If anyone else can go, we wlll be in the blue procraft.

Thanks. I think they are basicly the same the same boat except mine has the dual console. What HP motor are you running / top speed? I have got a merc 150. The boat is already rigged for it.

I just picked up a 1987 ranger 373V and trailer. The hull is in good shape, the interior needs carpet and seats. The trailer has surface rust so I am going to go over the metal with a wire wheel and put a fresh coat of paint this weekend. What brand of anti rust primer / paint should I use? I will post some pick as soon as I resize. Thanks

South end of Lox has high water and thick hydrilla. The bite has been very slow, early mornings are your best bet. Hey Bassin, if you got a open seat in december at okeechobee, shoot me an email or give me a call. I will be off the last 2 weeks in december.

I went to Tarpon Springs last weekend and we drove across 70 to brandenton. While driving, we crossed over the peace river. Looks like a nice place to fish. Anyone having any luck fishing there? We also passed a park/fish camp along the way on 70. Where would you launch your boat in that area?

I am predicting a close game. Flip a coin? MIA 30 ATL 28 Atlanta has a great offense, but Miami has the better defense. What do you guys think?
