Fish n ski boats
I have a procraft 1984 Procraft 1750V fish and ski with a 150 HP merc. Procraft makes a well thought out F&S. I agree with the other comments about the lack of bow lift. It will handle 2-3 ft chop rather well, and smoothly while on plane. At rest , it seems to roll OK with the waves with an occaisional splash over the rear deck. If you run or sit in 3+ higher chop, you better have your rain coat or a bathing suit on. Regarding storage, I have a ski locker in the floor and compartments and cooler under the front deck. Rod storage is non existant unless you use the ski locker. It is sufficent for my uses. I like to travel light, and keep the boat light. It is amazing how much junk that can accumulate if you have excessive storage. I really dont like fishng in rough water anyway, so my F&S is Ok with me.

the big "O"
Thanks Bruce. I really appreciate the info. I have been skunked my last three trips to Okeechobee. Hopefully I will do better this time. We should get all the South/central Fl BR members and do a little tourney at lake O sometime. I think that would be cool.

Where is the bite now? I got a club tourney next sunday. We are launching from slim's in belle glade. I am think I will take the ditch north from slim's and fishing the edges off the point. Should I make the run to uncle joes and fish observation shoal? Any suggestions?

a 39.....are you kidding me
We used to play the Sabal Palm course in Tamarac back then. 18 holes & cart, 2 hot dogs and a beer for $20 The course had a few holes that were not well maintained but it was fun and the price was right. Carolina (margate) is a pretty nice course and it is reasonable priced.

a 39.....are you kidding me
86 is not too bad, especially when you stopped playing for so long. My best round was a 88 and I was playing once a week until I tweaked my back a few years ago.http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/embarassed.gif

Farrah Fawcett dies at age 62
Raquel Welch was my first crush, then Farrah. She was everybody's sweetheart and a good actress. What ever happened to the bionic man, Steve Austin (lee majors)? It seem odd that that show (BM) never runs in syndication.

Sold my baby
My first car was a forest green 1966 ford mustang fastback with pony interior. I saved my money while working for Publix bagging groceries making $2.65 HR. I paid $3500 for it in 1976 when I started driving. It had a 289 4V with a toploader 4 speed trans. I loved the teardrop shaped roofline and the cockpit feel of the driver seat. The car was alot of fun. The car had manual steering and drum brakes on all four wheels. During the 80's I rebuilt the car a couple of times, and updated to front disc brakes and tighter suspension, and I finally sold her in 1998 for $7500.

Billy Mays
I just read the story. The celeb's are dropping like flies this week. The story described him as very generous and good hearted person. RIP Billy

My Dog
Last sunday my dog passed away. Her name was Lucy. She was a mixed breed (daushound- beagle / golden lab ??) dog that we adopted from the pound 12 years ago. Lucy was the best dog I ever owned and my whole family is still numb from the loss. Lucy was really smart, aware, and great with my 2 year old daughter. Im going to miss the times I took Lucy with me on my boat, in the truck and to run on the beach. About 5 weeks ago a lump appeared on the base of her neck, which eventally burst and healed. It was a type of cancer. She really went down hill fast in a couple of weeks. Last week she went blind and on sunday she was unable to support her weight any more. I took her to the vet to be put down that morning. One the hardest things I have ever done, but it had to be done. To those who owns dogs or other pets, spend some time with them. They love you unconditionally. You never know how fast they can be taken away.

Just starting to realize... No Florida Bass people????
Welcome to the forum. Fla native here. My brother lives in Cape Coral, and he fishes the bays mostly by kayak. The tarpon, snook, redfish are using cooperative. If the local canals are slow, head inland to the Big- o or istapoga

I survived w/ Canoe on Stickmarsh!
Glad you made it back safe and sound. Nice bass and pic's. The weather was definately in your favor. The marsh can get real ugly when those Tstorms come rolling in.

South Florida
Sirsnook, I think you might have covered it before on another post but are you using live bait or lures? I want to get out a catch a snook next week AM. I have only fished for snook once. I was in the New river in Ft Laudedale. I caught a est 30lb'er on a large (12") crank bait trolled behind my boat against the incoming tide. Right under the I-95 bridge! The crankbait was white/red floating rapala. We were just goofing around and I got lucky. Can you help me out with times, location, and bait/lures? Thanks.

Illegals
This practice of giving money that we are BORROWING from china has to stop. Illegals should be sent back - the only exception is if it involves children of naturalized citizens. Example: the polish girl that is being sent back even thoug her parents are legal. Someone has to apply some common sense.

LLC or Sole Proprietorship
I want to start a pool cleaning service. The people involved presently are myself, wife and son. I do not want to purchase an existing pool route, I want to develop my own accounts. I expect this to happen over time, through advertising and other means, As I acculimate accounts, I will consolidate the routes by trading them to tighten up the territory. I want to grow the business until I need to hire additional employees. I sure this will take a few years. I know that things will get more complicated when that happens. At some point, I want to manage this business when it becomes large enough to sustain my family and ditch the night job. I will keep the night job for now because of the benefits and insurance. I never thought about estate tax protection, could you please explain? This is a new venture so I have to learn as much as I can before I begin laying down the money. I dont want to learn through expensive mistakes. Another issue is chosing a name for the company. There are alot of good names listed with the state that are in disulusion. How many years do they maintain the rights? If I add or change one character of the name, will that suffice? Thanks
