I out fish my buddies with an old $40 spinning combo.....against their $300 combo.

I have tried many many mono lines and out there and I ended up right back at Big Game. I was trying to fix something that wasn't broke.

Just remember that polyurethane grips dampen vibration so there will be some sensitivity lost. You can help compensate that with an open blank reel seat. Its all personal preference. I am a fan of cork myself but have many Winn Grip and Chinese PU gripped rods because its the in thing right now. I do think these grips have peaked though in my personal opinion.

I have friends who buy the really expensive swim baits and who follow swim bait forums religiously. They enjoy owning and collecting high end swim baits and all that goes into preparing to fish with them (buying the new rod, reel, line etc..) In the end they don't catch more/any bass than the guy standing next to them with a Zoom fluke. But the anticipation and hopes of getting the double digit keeps them excited.

I use mono on nearly everything. There is no lure it won't work and no fish it wont catch. But I am a simple man.

I just payed 30 bucks on ebay for that Shimano Bantam thats on it.

Hello Zhiyuan Shi, I have fished stock ponds throughout China and have never seen a consistent artificial bait thrown. If I had to pick the top one I have seen it will be a standard grub on a jighead. Here in the states in my opinion a fluke can be used in every water body and across multiple fish species both salt and fresh. By the way...which China fishing forum are you on?

If the fisherman ever figures out that fish don't keep up with the newest lure colors, lure trends etc etc...I will be out a job. Please keep on buying the latest and greatest because that will be the only way you will catch the big one! ?

I didn't notice a difference in the catch ratio. Didn't care for it either after about a year or so and went back to Berkley Big Game on all my spinning and baitcast reels. I tried to fix something that wasn't broke for me.

I am passionate about my older Abu's and Shimano's....but I have more newer age reels than I know what to do with because I am in the industry. I love a fishing reel with a history behind it. The reels these days have an average life span with the same individual of about 5-10 years in my opinion.

Pretty sure a good taxidermist can use a hardening putty to create the unique features of a persons particular fish. I am not a replica person myself. I want the fish I caught hanging on my wall skin and all. Otherwise I guess I could just grab a pre-painted fish that matches the weight of the one I caught and be in and out in 5 minutes with my mount. Just doesn't have the same feeling. To each his own
