Rod suggestions for Tatula SV TW103
I have the Tatula M/MH and the Kistler Mag3 LMH. IMO the tip is better (softer) on the Kistler for lighter weights, at least the way I cast. Senkos and flukes are just about perfect on it. Ned rigs (assuming 1/15 or 1/10 heads) are a little light. If you are really throwing a Ned I think they are both a little heavy for it. Lighter line will probably help some. If you are mostly throwing light t-rigs, senkos, etc those are likely more like 1/3oz all-in. I have one MH Avid, and it really feels more like a H, so that probably follows down the whole line.

What size Owner Flashy swimmers for 3.8 Keitech?
3/0 is good for the 3.8 and 4.2(3?). Get some of the colorado blade too - Bluegill flash keitech with the gold colorado blade is stunningly effective here in texas. If you can, get the next sized up in CPS springs - they ones they come with are a bit small for the keitechs. It'll work, but you'll go through them faster.

Owner Twist lock Open Gap Hooks
One you use them you'll find it hard to go back to a regular hook.

Line Conditioning Good Or Bad?
I give it another spray if the backlash is deep. Seems to come out easier.

Favorite T-Rig Worm Hook ?
Owner Twistlock/CPS, mix of light and regular depending on the situation...mostly whether it is finessy or regular, line diameter, etc. Twistlock lights in 2/0 and 3/0 are sharp and thin enough that a reel set will do just fine. If I need a really heavy hook, then Owner Beast.

New Daiwa Tatula SV TW
The older model feels more solid, but the 100 size is much nicer to fish with. Be forewarned a bunch of the 100 platforms are coming undergreased. If it doesn't feel butter smooth it just needs some grease.

What is your Chatterbait Set Up? Anything I am doing wrong?
1) on a fast rod I think you will have better results with mono or flouro than braid. Little more forgiving because of the stretch. But you'll need a more serious hook set. 2) if you are using braid or braid/leader, you should not have to swing for the fences. There is effectively no stretch between your lure and your rod, and only a little flex in the rod. A quick thwack will do it just fine. 3) I prefer the daiwa "R" action for chatterbaits, and generally agree with the view that it is a better action for open single hook baits. But I also use braid/leader on a chatterbait, so the rod action matters more. I don't like the way it is mushy on mono/flouro. 4) If your rod tip is too high or too perpendicular to the line, there's nowhere to go when they jump. Next time you get one on pay very close attention to where you are holding your rod - you may be holding it way up high or to the side too far, so you can't move the rod tip away from the fish when it jumps. 5) Reel like mad when that fish gets near the surface. My bet would be #4 will help you the most.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
That's a chatterbait in that bluegills mouth. Nearly 2" diameter mouth. Genetic freaks in this pond. Even caught one similar sized on a WP 90 last summer. Couldn't get it in its mouth but it tried.

Breaking Off With Fluoro Leaders
This might help a bit. Net net based on what you said in your post the most important advice is to try the San Diego Jam knot.

What is your cut off point/price on rods and reels?
Whatever the price point happens to be where I can just fish it and not feel like I have to baby it. I'm not notably rough on them, but they aren't stored in a boat locker so they are in and out of the truck all the time.

knot tools
https://www.amazon.com/Lake-Products-THREE-Tying-Fishing/dp/B006FCHC2Q This one works well, customer service is great too - they didn't have instructions on how to tie the knot I wanted to tie with it, so they figured it out and emailed me pictures.

Braid to leader guy trying straight floro, couple questions
For what it's worth, Sufix Advance seems to be a nice compromise if you are coming from the low stretch of braid. I keep putting it on more and more reels. Only two left with braid or braid/leader - heavy rod and chatterbait rod. One or two with tatsu and everything else with advance. And it isn't very expensive to try it out, just be forewarned that it is a bit oversized... look at the line diameter not the test.

Fins 40g vs sling braid or other hi vis options
@WRBsuggested fins and I gave it a shot. Windtamer at first, then sling braid. The 50lb sling braid is noticeably different (softer, and probably smaller) than the Sufix 832. I couldn't stand the fading of 832. I do wish the green on the Sling Braid was darker. I'm curious what you hear on the 40g. And I've been thinking about trying some maxcuatro too.

$150-$190 Baitcaster
I have two of the Elites and a bunch of the 2020 SV TW's. I think the SV is a better all-around reel, and the Elites are better in heavier bait situations. Although someone in another thread only got a few feet more out of the Elites in their personal testing. The SV is just so much more forgiving in the wind and with lighter baits.

Buzbe tackle storage, anyone try it out?
Looks like by 4 they mean slots not inches. Poorly described and counter-intuitive On the site the 1x4 is 1.6" x 7.25" Anyway, it isn't priced well. If it cost about the same as an Edge I'd try it, but not at double.

Chatterbait rod selection
When are you losing them? How heavy is the grass? You might try line with a little more stretch, either lighter line or a stretchy mono. For what it's worth, I have an MH "regular" tatula elite (howell I think), and it is a hair too little backbone for me. It'd be perfect if it was the heavy. And importantly, I fish chatterbaits on braid/leader.

Storing Soft Plastics. To bag or box....
My situation is best described a co-angler that can bring as much as I want, but can never leave anything behind. And I have permanent portable storage in the truck, just needs to stay organized. So one big 3700 bag and one 3600 bag is about all I can haul around. I don't like to spend a bunch of extra time fiddling with putting stuff in boxes, so my current system optimizes for that as much as I can without wasting a bunch of space. I have a few KVD speedbags and ended up just using them to carry extra reels and terminal tackle refills in the truck. Three ways: 1) In the original bags, put inside a plano 3731 which I learned here. Vast majority of my plastics are stored this way - see pic. A finesse box, a craw trailer box, a worms that aren't stickbait box, etc. If one gets too full I will likely further separate by muddy vs clear-water colors. 2) for senkos and swim senkos, the fixed divider 6 compartment boxes are perfect. I use the one linked below but am also trying the 3607 as it has eight fixed slots. I think it'll be the winner for stickbaits but not swim senkos. Each slot holds more than a bag, and you end up with a very compact package. These boxes in particular because there are no edges that deform a bait, and when stored on end the baits are on their side vs pushing on one end.https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-PFCB.html?from=basres 3) Still figuring out how to store baits that come in hard packages. Eventually someone will figure out how to make the clamshells fit together well (I'm looking at you Keitech). In the interim, I'm trying Keitechs in a waterproof 3700 (the cabelas version as it is more roomy based on how it is built. It gets stored long-side down, so doesn't seem to deform the baits. But there must be a better answer.

I need help with these Owner hooks, couple of questions
Barring an out-of-the-water head shake, senkos last forever for me on the twistlocks. I'd guess five fish or so, and if you are really feeling the need to stretch it out you won't have to take more than 1/3 inch off the top to get another three or four.

Bass forage
After pulling a three foot long one inch diameter snake out of a three pound fish, I can attest to this. Just the tail was sticking out of the gullet. I thought it had eaten a horny toad or a lizard, but when I started pulling it just kept coming. And two weeks ago I caught a 12" bass on a 6.8' Fat Impact.

Best quality fishing backpack for the money
I have the Ego Kryptek pack and the Wild River pack. They are both well-made, the Ego carries a lot more. You can put more in it than you really want to carry. I'll be checking out the Cabelas Advanced Angler pack though too - I have two of the bags and they are really well thought out and really well made too.

Rage Swimmers Alternative
I'm probably the 5th person or so to say the same thing in this thread. But very soft plastics do really well on some sort of screw-lock head. It's worth picking up some larger CPS screws too, they will hold a good bit better. More often than not I can run the same Keitech until the hook slot is wrecked, and the nose will still be held tight. Related, the owner twistlock light 2/0 or 3/0 do the same thing for senkos.
